I've been away from these cars for a couple of years while I humored my mistaken idea of wanting an older less modern car, realized I am happier with a third generation car. After looking for a couple of months and looking at several (and getting sticker shock) I found this one yesterday and bought it. I am pretty sure I overpaid but it has t tops and a shade kit so I justified it to myself. Good body without rust, decent paint, good glass, old tires that are all low, dirty interior with broken drivers seat and hasn't been modified. It's rainy and cold so the pictures aren't great.
Hmm
That is a new 1 for me. Our 88's have them this way. My 86 has it on the underside of the console lid. Now I have to dig into this in more detail. I see your car is a Van Nays California built car. I wonder if that was a slight difference between them and the Norwood Ohio plant.
Thanks, i wish it looked as good as the pictures but it is ok, I took it to my friend Pats old shop today and got the transmission mount replaced and the trailer hitch taken off. Yeah, who puts a trailer hitch on an IROC?

I'd would love to see him trying to get up a wet boat ramp with that thing.
I've seen guys who autocross use small little trailers to bring wheel and race tires as well as a few tools and supplies. Those trailer probably have less than 100 pounds of tongue weight. But generally, no, can't say that I'd recommend it.
