Well, I pretty much bought it cause the guy did an LS3 swap on it, amongst other things. I'm using this engine for my 87 Monte Carlo SS, and was thinking of just selling the rolling body. But now that I have it, I think I'm going to end up keeping it and making it a Dad and son project. She's not the prettiest and the interior needs some work, but it looks pretty solid. RPO codes were missing so I had to go off the 8th digit of the vin to verify it was a true Iroc.
Had an 84 for 28 years with C&Cs, but the header area looks wider than the A-pillars and the molding/trim pieces along the fr/rr edges. At least it appears that way in the pics. Factory t-tops dont have that. Got close up pics.
Good start for a project cars.

Not at the moment. Any drawbacks of having these t-tops?
Not as far as im concerned. Plastic parts are harder to get, but the seals are sold new, but i forget the sellers name. Its floating around the forum though.
Definitely C&C. Seals dont look too bad, except maybe where the ends meet. That brace is something OE t-tops cars dont have. Headliner is another item they dont make for C&C cars. I always had to cut a hard top HL to fit.

Oh sweet! Any tips on doing that? Cause I'm going to have to do the same thing.
The hardest part is trimming around the t-tops. You have to cut it long enough to reach that rubber strip that runs along the seal. It tucks into that and holds it in place. I think i left like 6" extra so i was sure it would reach. I hated that strip too and eventually tossed it and tucked the material into the groove where the seal goes. It looked so much cleaner that way. Just dont buy a t-top headliner, you have to start with a hardtop piece and trim it.

Well I'm glad you helped me out. I probably would of ordered the wrong parts when that time comes. I appreciate it.
