it's really close to whitewater, wisconsin and really really close to the Ill border. If you can get on the "Rock" freeway he should be able to get you there. You can't find the directions on mapquest because Delavans a bit of a one horse town. Be prepared and bring your own tools because its an actual junkyard. YOU PICK YOU PULL. It's kind of in a field and was an uphill battle when I was getting the heads of an engine. Call and see what he still has though, wouldn't want to waste a trip... Like i said i did pick a part a lot of it when I was there. Otherwise if that doesn't work check the message boards under the classified section of TGO there's always motors and trannys coming up every so often. Last but not least save your cash and buy a reman/crate engine. can't beat a warranty.
How much do the remans run? Do they have all atachments?

you shouldn't insult your car by calling it a 1986 Firebird project, call it a 1986 Trans Am project.Thats True Its MY TRANS AM PROJECT everyone!!! My mistake

Thanks for all the help guys and/or girls
Ended up buying a Trans Am instead of getting all of the accessories for my Green one oo well atleast there will be no hassel with D.I.Y. problems It's a sleak Black with minor surface rust!
Now I'm definatly a KID in a candy store
I can't wait till I go and get it!!
