Thanks! Yeah thats the exact reason I picked that picture, it shows the lines better than any of the other ones I took.
Maks, for sure, I agree, they are nice looking emblems as far as emblems go. I think I just don't like emblems period? I dont know, thats just my opinion, take it with a grain of salt, ya know? And hell, who cares, its your car, as long as you like em.

Good thing they didn't fly off.Exactly why I haven't washed it. Radar says "It's gonna RAIN!!" It would just get dirty again on the way home. I need a daily driver, and a garage(warehouse).
Look forward to seeing the others then. I need to take some "professional" type pictures one of these days.

Here's one of mine with the new front red emblem. The car has red accents now (red rear bumper inlay, red calipers, new red emblems) as soon as I ditch the ugly gold wheels and install my black C6 Z06 rims the look will be right on.

Re: Post your firebird pics
To tell u the truth I don't really know. The calipers and rotors were on the car when I bought it, I ended up painting the calipers which turned out great. They are close to 12" not quite though I asked the previous owner but he couldn't remember about the rotors. They can't be 1LE because they aren't dual piston but they fill up the wheels pretty good. the hubs are really rusty I plan on upgrading to Stoptech rotors for the C6 Z06 rims.

Hullo! New member. Just picked this up, and it's at the shop for inspection right now.
89 Formula 350. rebuilt 355 (or so they told me), shift kit auto, Eaton posi carrier, Drums on the back, I think he said he had to put in a 10 bolt and couldn't find a rotor one?, richmond 410 gears. Less than 3K on the rebuild, clean car, no rust. "new" interior.

Paint is nearly perfect (two chips on the driver's door), body is straight.
Will wash it after inspection. (cops around here love to pull you over for failed stickers, even if you can legally drive on em for 10 days after purchase).
Thinking about putting flat black Formula decals on it, but not sure.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Vin checks as a formie. Original 350 car.. and it wasn't a TA, so it's a formie.
. Yeah, they were rotor cars, but the original owner explained that in his quest to make it "unbreakable" he had to change out the rear and axles, and couldn't find rotor axles to fit, so back to drums it went.honestly, the ram air hood is why I bought it, over a stick one with a 355 corvette engine in it that is also available. I really like the look. Just needs a little TLC, some exhaust work, and a bit of interior tidying, and it's all good.

Maeryk, nice looking car. You obviously bought the car as is but for the life of me I can't understand why people buy a Formula, then slap gfx on the car. If u want a TA then go buy a TA to begin with.

Maeryk, nice looking car! Glad to see that some of our cars are being sold to people who have plans of taking good care of them.
What kind of plans do you have for it?

Yup. Not sure why they did that, but I suspect it's to make the intake fit right between the throttle body and the air cleaner. Seems to work just fine, upside down or right side up!

As to plans? Cruising. Scaring the wait staff at Sonic.. uhh.. finally enjoying the meaty throb of a tuned V8 now that I'm old enough and my insurance is low enough that I don't have to mortgage the house to own one.

I went out out and took a bunch more pics, and these are the only ones that turned out. Apparently I'm incapable of taking cool looking night shots.

Thanks man! I know my car isnt all that, but I hate passing up opportunities to ***** some pics. You should definitely do the light. I hooked mine up to a toggle switch hidden in the console, and it looks sick.

Mitch, I like the red l.e.d.'s in the ram air scoops. Makes the car look evil / sinister from the front...
2007montecarlo, Looks like you have a very clean T/A there! Looks nice overall....
Hopefully, I'll have some pics of the 88 I just bought on here someday soon.
Just gotta find time to take the pics and post 'em.

Re: Post your firebird pics
thanks, the original spoiler when i bought it cracked from absorbing water i guess because its like a spongey material thats why i painted the deck lid black to match the back tints. yeah i like the idea for the 91 Aerowing ill look into that. as for the hood spoiler that came with it i didnt want to take it off and have 2 huge holes in the hood. but the hatch sun visor is good it keeps the rain off the back window :}

Re: Post your firebird pics
hey guys, I actually didn't use LEDs there. I used this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811994003
cold cathode tubes. They were originally in an old computer case that I just threw away.
Here's the close ups CB. They're velcro'd to the bottom of the inner scoop. They're actually wedged in there pretty good, I doubt they are gonna move.

Re: Post your firebird pics
registration tax ( you need to pay it when you buy a car and want to registrate it on your name for the first time )
for a 3.1 = 380 euro
for a car wih more then 240hp = 5000 euro
( unless your car is more then 16 years old, then your tax is 60 euro )
then you have to pay your yearly roadtax
for a 3.1 = 950 euro
for a 5.0 = 1700 euro
for a 5.7 its 2000 euro.
so lets see a 3.1 with gfx on is 10 years back = 380 + 950 = 1330 euro tax the first year. and the secon year 950 euro
a real trans am back then was 5000+ 2000 = 7000 euro's of tax. and the second year 2000 euro etc
hmm, guess I go with the formula with GFX

because in countries like mine, you get taxed on your engine size and HP ( the 1 where they get the most money out counts )
registration tax ( you need to pay it when you buy a car and want to registrate it on your name for the first time )
for a 3.1 = 380 euro
