Re: Post your firebird pics
over here most thirdgens are V6es ( RS or formula ) once in a while you will find a V8. but most of them are standing in a garage or stable until they are 25 years old. ( after 25 years a car is an oldtimer and taxes are instantly changed to the minimum of 32 euro's a year no mather if its a 700cc smart or a 8300cc viper.
btw, this is also the reason you will not find junkyard stuff like 16"wheels, wonderbar, 32 or 34 mm swaybars and stuff.
welcome to Belgium, where the car is seen as the milking cow for the goverment.
edit, I see where I made the mistake. formula's are also V8's
anyway, we only got V6 cars for the most.

Formulas are not ALSO V8's....they are ONLY V8's. My car is a base model FIREBIRD, yet on my insurance and even Carfax they call it a Firebird Formula....this does not make my car a Formula. It is still a regular Firebird. So all the V6 cars in Belgium are regular Firebirds, not Formulas. Another note...the only motors available in the Base Firebirds were the v6 and the TBI V8. Formulas you could get the TBI V8, TPI 305, and the TPI 350.

Cowboy hats, a budweiser flag.........never saw that while I was in Belgium, or maybe I just wasn't in the right place.
The red 91-92' TA looks clean. Looks like a convertible as well.
The Formula is just...the owner has different taste is all. Kinda of like the hood I had on my car at one time.

This is a great looking third gen I found while surfing the web. Many of you have probably seen at least one pic of it before, but i dug up the entire web page it was on. It's basiclly a modded 83. I don't why they felt the need to put the 91-92 nose on it, but it looks good. The car just sitting there looks fast, like a blue rocket.

cowboy hats and bud beer, something you will always find at the meeting @ the double D ranch @ hulshout. and All american weekend @ Lommel ( this weekend )
the red car, yes, its a 92 convertible trans am with a 5.0L
the owner was/is the leader of the camaro custom club. ( club for camaro corvette and firebirds )
a long time ago he had a triker accident and he cant walk anymore, he is actually in a wheelchair.
so the car has been equiped with a gas pedal + brakepedal at the steeringwheel.
in belgium there is a regulation that depending for how much percentage you are handicapped you get. things like ( no more roadtax and stuff ) so in other words he doesnt have to pay that 2000 euros yearly tax )
oh well, he still knows how to handle his car. and I have the deepest respect for this guy.

awsome cars!
Here's my '91 Trans Am, export vechicle, (RPO:EXP) so it has factory equiped 305 TBI, Car had those ugly (IMHO) paddle side mirrors so I've changed them to US-style, also taillights was changed from base firebird lights to 85-90 T/A (91-91 T/A are impossible to find in Europe, those lights are rare! - I don't see them very often for sale)
lot's of work was done to keep my T/A in great condition (rebuilt suspension with KONI struts/shocks WS6 springs, poly bushings, new brakes, rebuilt trans with oil cooler, new exhaust with flowmaster muffler, engine tune-up) 2 months ago car was repainted in factory brilliant red metallic, What I need now are the decals, which are going to me at this moment

I gotta admit, I have a hard time deciding which lights I like more. I have the same lights as Mark, but the 91-92 lights are damn sexy

Re: Post your firebird pics
I for some reason prefer the 85-90 T/A lights over the 91-92's. Something about those vertical splits that I don't like. However, I will be blacking out my base model lights soon...although I have been thinking of putting the 85-90 T/A lights there. Then again, i've been thinking of selling my car for a 91-92 T-Top car for my daily...then buying a 91-92 Formula(hardtop) for my toy. If only my car now had t-tops already.

Pictures came out good, Mike. Also, even though we weren't parked evenly, we managed to create a V shape with your car in the middle without even thinking about it.

i think that would look FANTASTIC. They remind of the wheels on I think its Godspeed GTA's car. I always wondered what they'd look like on a 91-92 bird in a large size.

Agreed! And yes, GodSpeedGTA. Actually years ago those are the wheels I had planned on getting but never did. Then he finally got them on his car and it solidified my decision to get them. Although his are the ADR M-sports which have 1 less fork in them....they only come with a brushed lip where-as the ones i'm looking at have a stainless steel lip.

They've also added turn signals on the front fenders, and a third red light at the bottom of the rear bumper. Seems like a lot of belgian cars have this light, I don't know what it's for though.

Thanks man! Yeah, gonna keep it burgundy. Kinda looks funny 'cause right now I have 50 series Goodyears in front and 45 series Hankooks in back so the fronts have a higher side wall which I am not liking at all. I will probably put my C5 Z06 wheels on it within a year so no big deal, but tires for those things aint cheap.

Sup guys, I waxed my car with NXT 2.0 yesterday morning, and I hit up the Barrett Jackson auto auctions... If you want to see pics I took from the auction go here..
Here is a picture I took by my house in Henderson before the sun went down straight out of the garage after being waxed..

Here is a picture of my car on the strip (vegas blv) in front of Mandalay bay and the Luxor hotel. Look on the top of Mandalay bay and you can see the barrett jackson logo... pretty cool!

Thanks man! That Iroc sold for $46,200... was a very very very nice car. I was looking at the names written on it closely and they clear coated over them, so in order to get them off you would need new paint. Ozzy Osborn signed the passenger door, which was cool!

What do you guys think? Yay, or nay? I'm undecided. I did it to this set because they are cracked and need replacing anyways. Only shot it with 1 coat and they came out darker than I expected.
