My first thirdgen(new to forum)
hey yall I'm new to the forum and new to thirdgens in general. ive always wanted one ever since seeing a few night rider reruns as a kid, anyway finally got my chance to get one regrettably because my previous daily 1970 Chevrolet impala got totaled R.I.P.
so I was able to find myself a great deal on an 84 trans am lg4 700r4 3.73 with factory "ram air" got this gem for $900 from the original owner who thought it had a blown head gasket and parked it just for sh#ts and giggles I hooked some jumper cables to it in the guys yard and after sitting 3 years it fired up, idled and drove itself on the trailer after burning the old gas out of it it runs great and no blown head gasket

Below the door mouldings on the doors and 1/4s I also repainted, the rest I rescued.
You can likely rescue most of yours as well as yours doesn't look anywhere near as bad as mine was.
Check out my build on youtube it might give you some low buck ideas on stuff you can do yourself!
Have fun doing it, like I said mine was pretty rough when I started so yours looks like it will be easier.

Thanks, it's nice having folks welcome you here and share the knowledge they have. I've never been a member of any forums of any kind. I have a few friends with 2-4th gens and will highly recommend them join simply due to the hospitality.
