That car looks like it just rolled off the show room floor, AWESOME!!
My wife is Asian as well, unfortunately I dont have a pic of her with the car back around 1993, met her in 1992. I believe she has a pic of herself standing next to a cousins 1988 black trans am back in 1988.
Had her aligned earlier this summer, but had not had time to take her for a real spin. Today we made our way out to Dutchman vineyard about 20 miles outside of Austin. She was shaking going down Mopac, pulled off the road to see what was going on, found nothing, chalked it up to a bad road, bad politicians who don't want to fix the roads. Continued on, and had a great day. Once we landed at the site, a guy who had a few miles on me, said he had an 82. Told him he could still pick one on, his wife said hell to the no. It was so much fun to see the smiles and memories they both had with their 82, and how my car brought their memories back. Here are a few sequences of the day. Start to finish. We have at least 3 guys around Austin area, we should all bring the machines our here someday! SOON!

That car is absolutely gorgeous. The memories part is whats so cool about these cars, because so many people haven't seen one in years. Every time I get gas its a ton of conversations.
Took the Formy out yesterday, 103. Hesitated, but hey, ins has towing up 250 mile range so what the hell. Nice little vineyard outside of Austin that also has beer for the non-wino's. Nice thing about 103 degrees, no body goes so you can find a safe parking spot. when its cooler, the Bird doesn't fly over here, too many people that don't care about cars. Happy to report the cooling system held up well, and never broke a sweat. Fingers crossed for next time!
Well, the time has come to replace the steering linkage. My idler arm is loose. Its a shame the way they make these from the factory. There are no holes for cotter pins on the inner tie rods or drag link. pretty much everything except outer tie rods need to be replaced if you replace any thing else. All of the other parts are still good. I had a helva time getting the drag link off of the pitman arm. Finally took off the A-Arm bracket support so I could get a more direct hit on it from inside the engine bay using my trusty lead pipe and BFH.
