****ing air shocks in the trunk are broken HELP!!!
my air shocks in the trunk that hold it up are broken and i need some help in choosing a good brand because these are the second pair that i have had and they went out like a year after i put them in and it is beging to **** me off becasue i have to hold the back up with a stick a big *** wooden stick
Go to all the car parts stores you can think of until you find ones with a warranty... I got my hood and trunk shocks at a local parts store where I used to work and got 3 year warrantys, but I have heard of lifetime ones.

I got my shocks at Shucks and they came with a lifetime warranty. You should be able to get these at any CSK store. Be forwarned: You will need someone to help you hold or brace the hatch up while you are changing the shocks out because it is very heavy. Part of the problem is the heavy aero spoiler you have weighing in at a porky 25lbs. Replace it with a fiberglass one and this problem will go away for good.

I had that problem when I bought my lifetime shocksand I have a wing, but all I did was asked the Parts counter guy if there was one that was stronger for another car that would fit mine and he did.. they work fine now.

When I got mine from the local parts store they asked me if I had a spoiler, a rear wiper both or none. Apparently there are different "strengths" for eac application. I bought ones for the wiper/spoiler combo although I only have the spoiler, my theory is that these ones will last longer.... we'll see

I got mine at Pep Boys with a lifetime warranty. Only problem was how the tang that the electrical plug for the rear window defroster is attached. GM's is welded to the shock. The PB one was loose and able to rotate freely. I split a formed metal wave sping washer and shoved it in. Solved the problem. If the hood struts are any example of how long they will last it will be a LONG time. I replaced my original GM struts after about 1-1/2 yrs with GM ones and again they only lasted 1-1/2 yrs. The PB ones have lasted about 7 years now and still going strong.

Limited lifetime warranty means that the product is warranted for the lifetime of the owner that purchased the part, for as long as he owns the car.
