Where are the burnouts?!?!?
Where's the music?!?
Where are the women?!?
Heh, kidding. Nice walkaround.
One suggestion: Work on steadying the camera. I only say this because I am glad to find someone (almost) as "active" with camera position as I am in my unpracticed state... I am still a human paintshaker with the Sony
Peace, real nice ride btw

J/K, shoulda had someone tape it for you though, it wouldve made it much smoother.Nice car
Geez...
At least I know what your car looks like from every angle now
Couldn't you at least start it up and rev a little? Or a nice holeshot?
Whereabouts in Millersville are you? I live in Millersville too (Shipley's Retreat off Veterans Hwy), and have never seen your car before - and I remember clean 3rd gens

Recipe for a "less-sucky" video:
Take original footage, add:
Burnouts;
Powerslides ("drifting" for the under 25 crowd j/k);
Women (naked or close, nothing that would make lunch return);
In-car acceleration (wasting something non-3G);
Stir until someone pukes. Get that on video too, for another time...
There are more, but that's a good start. Your vid would make a great "prelude to an a$$-whoopin'" intro. Just a thought or four...
Peace,
K

Dude! Is the second clip flickering constantly for anyone else? I tried both Windows Media Player 9 and Real and it happened in both. That seriously made me dizzy after watching about 2min of it. I guess I'll have to with till the Nationals to see your car well then.

that is one SWEEEEEEEET car! i also noticed the ttop bag... yours is one of the few 350 91/92 cars with ttops. ive read that you could only get that motor with the T roof if you had a Formula and black cross lace wheels. quite a find!
almost makes me want to sell the Vette for one of those! again, very nice ride!

thanks, i have to get a paint job after it warms up because some girl had hit my car and did some light damage on the door...
so i rather get the whole car painted all at once..
i also plan to get rid of my a/c and maybe the A.I.R stuff and then i can clean up the engine bay even more...
still not sure if i should mod the car!! i mean it runs great, no real problems with it since i got it..

If you think you can hang on for another 10yrs without modding it then leave it as is. Else if you are going to do any mods to it then it's not going to be original anyway so mod away.
The a.i.r. system on thirdgens just seems to always be in the way when you are trying to do some work to the motor.
Removing the AC on cars with serpentine is so-so because you end up with an empty bracket...I personally wouldn't do it but I don't have serpentine so

Come on man, reversible eh? Yes, in trained hands and done properly. Answer me this, have you done this to a car and then reversed it? Didn't think so.
Have you ever looked inside a car's fittings that had the A/C removed? I bet my lunch if you did you would see lots of dirt, spiderwebs, and debris. Yeah, that system is going to work again.

Anytime I look at a potential project car, if I see the A/C or other systems have been hacked up or off, I immediately write the car off as a hillybilly hack job. Maybe they are all not hack jobs, but the overwhelming majority are.
Perhaps it is just that this is the number ONE hillbilly mod that makes the car "faster". Uggh. I looked at dozens upon dozens of thirdgens before I settled on one. Blown motor, rough interior, but the WHOLE car was ALL there. It had no missing equipment, no hacked up wires or subsystems, so I bought it on site and towed it home.

Technically speaking doesnt everything have to be done properly? Come on Erik......"trained hands"! I would think finding A.I.R tubes would be a lot harder than finding some trained hands

No, but right now I have all the stuff, seeing I just got rid of my AC and my TPI setup as well as most of the AIR setup. Or in Erik's words a "hillybilly hack job" :sillylol:

Actually I think the most important stuff to look at when you are looking for a project is weither or not the body is straight and weither or not there is rust. Those can be the hardest and most costly stuff to fix. Oh well, I guess everyone has there own standards and or system for that search! Member

This is all going to be done to clean up the engine compartment, not for speed. Only accessories on my engine are going to be the alt which will be tucked underneath and PS. It should make working on the car a breeze and make it look sharp

It's all comming off(switching to non air heaterbox) and I'm sealing the ends so I have the option of putting it back on or selling it for $$.

I am really glad to hear that it is being done correctly. Sorry if I came of a little direct, I have something of a bias for the A/C and other equipment removal thing. My first car (still have it, too) was a 79' malibu, that got hillbillied. The A/C was gone, and the wiring was a complete nightmare. I can't tell you how many times I had a dead battery due to several shorts by hacks in the wiring harness. I really could not imagine WHY someone did this to the car, let alone I wanted to find the moron and kick him in the jimmy. I rebuilt the whole car (wiring too) and had it painted two years ago. It still has some of the A/C equipment hanging on the fire wall, with open lines and a large mess in them. Probably this summer I will tackle rebuilding the A/C system, and it is going to be most all uphill from the looks of it. I bought the car from a good friend (he bought it from a hack), who unfourtunatly was killed in a wreck this past year, so I plan on keeping the car.
Anyways, grab some pictures once you have all this in place, I am really curious on seeing how moving the acessories turns out! I still have the v-belt setup as well, and it's not the most fun to work around as I am sure you know.

Erik typically I see eye to eye with you but I think I must disagree on this topic. Right now I would love to be able to find a V8 "hillybilly hack job". Shoot that just means that all the work is done

What did you do with your car? Got tired of wrestling with TPI eh?Yeah, I was a little too broad in discribing hackups. It just seems like these cars are a popular target for hillbillies to hackup and think they are fast. Heh, did I tell you about one of the formulas that Steve and I parted up last summer that had it's y pipe cut to replace the starter?
THEN - it was SILICONED back in place!?!
After that, then I tought that I had seen it all.

OMG, you have got to be kidding me, SILICONE............:sillylol:
Yeah I got the Holley Stealth Ram for xmas and I put it one over this past weekend with an LT1 cam (60,000 on cam and in great shape) my buddy had sitting around, as well as some 24#ers.
So far she's running great with no tuning what so ever. I am getting some spark retard at WOT up top in the RPM, but even with it she still wants to pull hard after 5200. Oh, and mind you this is still through them manifolds, but hopefully it will be through some hooker long tubes shortly
BTW, Eliz's sister just moved to Kent Island, I was going to try and get in contact with Steve to see what was up with him! I was thinking I could drop by and say hi or something like that if I was ever in town!

i just saw your video, I had to go to class while it was downloading. Not to be critical or anything, but in that 4 minutes you could have at least turned the engine on or at least the stereo.
If I had a video camera, I would have my friends shooting me doing peel outs out of a corner or doing something reckless. As much as I love seeing your car, pictures are sufficient, don't need a video of it standing still, unless you were at a car show.

(They are much easier to come across) I think some of it would be different, but I feel that I could adapt the bulk of it for use in a G-body with a little time and work. After all, they are both GM cars with SBC's, some of the hoses will need some work but I think it's workable.
