I get off work at 8 in Waldorf, so I can be up there around 8:45. I won't have my car, but was probably gonna go anyway. I'll look for you in the staging lanes.

 

im thinking about heading up there as well if i can get my car running by then, and if i can get directions from DE!

 

I can get you there from 695. I'm at a friend's house, I'll post directions from 695 when I get home.

 

From I-695 you want to take it around to the Southern/SW part of the beltway to I-97 South. I-97 will be a 6 lane, divided highway until it hits MD-32 and MD-3. You want to take MD-3 South towards Crofton (or sometimes it says Bowie, even though Bowie is further South than Crofton).

I haven't come from that direction in a long, long time...I don't remember exactly what the traffic pattern is, sorry. Once you're on Route 3 South (Route 3 North merges w/I-97, so there is really only one direction to go, I believe), you head down several miles, and you will see a green highway sign that says "Capitol Raceway Road -->". The turnoff is about a quarter mile after that, follow the road down to its end and you will see the entrance to the racetrack.

If you're on MD-3 and you see a McDonald's in the median, you've gone just a little bit too far.

I'm assuming you would be coming from I-695, but in case you're taking the Bay Bridge over (US-50 West), you can take 50 to I-97 North, which will have an exit for MD-32 and MD-3, then just take the MD-3 exit, and follow the rest of the directions above.

tpi89vette is gonna come up and race that day also. trying to get him to come up friday and hang out the weekend.

i get my mufflers thurs and putting them on hoping it'll drop a tenth or 2

 

Cool dude - good luck! I won't be able to make Capitol, unfortunately. I work too late, and I really can't spare the $10 - as bad as it sounds. It's a long story, but my insurance company and I had a miscommunication and I bounced several checks...plus the money I was going to give my friend to finish my engine.

Blah.

I need my F-body fix! It's been like three months, lol.
