Capitol 10/24?

I'm going to head up to Capitol this Friday, and I wanted to see if anyone else was thinking about coming. It's supposed to be sunny and cool, with low humidity.

I don't know if I'm going to be racing yet. I pick up my new transmission tonight, but I still have to get it in the car by Friday. If it's not in, I can't race because the one I have in leaks badly; but I still want to go watch some racing regardless.

If a few of you guys were going up there, I figured we could meet up somewhere and cruise on up together. Hope to see some of you up there!

Could that be due to the lack of cats/emmisions equipment?

dump a full bottle of rubbing alcohol in it run it real hot and you'll probably pass.

Hey Mic, where were 'ya?! I seen your car up in the staging lanes with a bag of ice on the intake but I couldn't find you. Maybe I missed you 'cause you're so short . Oh well.

DA was good last night at -1400!! Everybody was going fast. Did you get a new best?

Yesterday, on my way home from work in Laurel, once I was almost home, I realized I was overheating badly. I had a slight coolant leak, so I let it cool off, drove it home, let it cool off some more, and filled it up with coolant. I left around 6:30 for Capitol, and only made it as far as Annapolis before my coolant was boiling. So, it was a no-go for me last night.

My friend came and picked me up at the Double T, we went back to my house, watched a movie, then went to get it three hours later when it would be cooler.

I barely made it over the Severn River Bridge.

So, we left it in the shoulder of that curve there, went and watched ANOTHER movie, came back, and I barely made it home. It's being towed to the shop soon. I'm really sorry I missed you guys, I was looking forward to going - it's been a long week, and drag racing is my release.

So, hopefully it should be up and running on Monday - I'll try to head up there again soon! I hope you guys got some good runs in!

Try it a little softer than stock and see if it shifts at WOT, that's what mine was. Altough, the 3/4 clutch pack quit shortly thereafter, hence the "DON'T adjust the TV for shifts!"advice. I did, and paid the price. I like the manual better anyways!

Why is it overheating? Fans coming on? Or is the coolant leak that bad? I've been there before and it sucks! Just be glad you didn't warp the heads
