I know of a place in Rockville on E. Gude Drive (not far off 2-70) if that isn't too far. They do the alarms for my companies vans and do great sound systems. I can't think of the name right now, but if you're willing to go that far I'll get it for you. Let me know.

yeah thumpin was the first place i went actually but i thought they were trying to screw me over when they told me 650 for an alarm installed. did some research and went back though, because i want a lot of range.
have an appointment next tuesday to have a compustar 900fm put in, 600 installed
i already made the deposit and the appointment, but out of curiosity how far is that fordgirl? i'm having a lot of trouble finding a good audio shop, kind of new here. thumpin doesnt carry any 0/1 gauge wiring or terminals, powerblocks, ring terminals, or any other 0/1 accessories. they dont carry the kind of fuses i use either
but from what i can tell, they seem like good installers and im willing to pay a little more with the alarm to make sure its done right.

Thumpin is good. There is also American Accessories they deal with Viper alarms and then there is Hunt Audio Video.
Have you tried Circuit City? They install steros.

Use mapquest for directions as that way you can see right from where you are to the address below and I put their number so you can call them directly.
Auto Sound Center
701 East Gude Drive
Rockville, MD 20850
(301) 279-7077
I wouldn't suggesting driving here at rush hour, but a Saturday trip would probably be an hour or less. Call to see if they have weekend hours. You can tell them an employee of AccuTech sent you and perhaps they'll give a little discount -- I don't know what our company deal is with them. Good luck.

well, i already made the appt. at thumpin or i would. 600 is a little high, most nice shops charge about 500 to install the alarm im getting, i think 300 of it is just the parts. its a very nice alarm though, i got it because i wanted the best range, so i would know if someone set off my alarm, or even if it warns while im at work. range is supposed to be 3000 feet outside, but from the reviews i've read, people walk all around malls, wal marts, and in office buildings and still are connected and can start their cars to warm up, with a confirmation that its started. pricey, but this is one area i didnt want to skimp.
