Let ZZ4 have it if you want to get rid of it. i was gonna keep it for a spare but have too many trans/motor combo's now i can play with.

BTW seen your GN next to TJ's Cobra at the beach too bad we couldn't get together and party

It's a Goodwrench rebuilt with 15k on it. Make me an offer. On ear is busted off the bellhousing below the dowel pin, so both dowels still intact. I drove it for 12k miles like it is, no probs just one bolt short. I have a 2400 stall converter to go with it or seperate.

not anything good. the old one? lol. ive got a gauge cluster and a grille, thats about it. i think i might be able to fix mine though. supposedly it might only need a new governor gear which is about 10 bucks and i looked at some pics and got under the car just now and actually looked at the housing in person, it was right there, so im pretty confident i might be able to handle it myself. i hope this is the only problem because the car still runs and still moves, just wont get out of first gear.

sounds like it could be the governot. Just pull that cover off the side of the trans and the governor will slide out. Look at the gear and the springs on the two "arms". If it checks out OK cool, if not lemme know

$225 and it's yours. $75 for the converter.

can you explain to me a little better how to take off the cover? do you just pry it off, because i didnt see any bolts that look like they were holding it, plus it did kinda look like it was just stuck on there. also, i might be interested in the converter anyways if i get this to work out. if not, i might be interested in your tranny. and also if you could just give me a little brief description of things i should look for when i take it off. thanks a lot.

It just pry's off there. The governor is right behind it. When yo uput it back on be sure to use plenty of RTV. With the cover off the governor will slide out. You'll have to twist it a bit kinda like a distributor. Lemme know what you find when yo uget it out. Should take 5 mins.

ill do it tomorrow when theres light. thanks a lot for the tips. is it bad to leave it open for a while since the car will be outside. should i tape it off maybe? maybe saran wrap since i doubt tape will stick to the dirty surface.

it's a stock converter, re-stalled by a local shop.

It's a complicated deal, has to do with changing the stator and the angle on the fins. It's the same as the ones SLP sells. I think a converter re-stall in around $250-300 local.

Cut you a deal man, 275 for the trans and converter.

so is it pretty much a stock type deal? with the tranny? or is it shift kit, servo, etc. or did you have the stall converter hooked up to a stock tranny. again i will think about the tranny since i will need one soon anyways, plus you are local. i just might not need it right now. give me a couple days to think about it.

ok what exactly is the governor valve? i got the new part and unless this one is broken too, i was wrong about the valve, because the piece i was looking at does not move either.its worth a shot installing though.
