IROCS in MD?

Hello Everyone,

I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and was curious if anyone else who owns a ROC live there.

I used to own a Iroc back in 86 when I special ordered one from Fox Chevrolet. It was a Bright Blue metallic with 4 wheel disc brakes and a 305. I had to trade it in for a better gas milage commuter car back then but have always wanted another one someday.

My question is it possible to get anything halfway decent for $1500 to $2000 or am I just dreaming? I know something in this range will require work but can one be found thats sound with no rust?

Just testing the water out there...thanks for any replies,

Mike

Oh...I thought I would post this link to my Flickr Album with pics back from 86 of My Iroc and my brother 57...we were doing a kind of the old and the new theme. I guess now it would be the old and the older theme :-)

Kris,

Thanks for replying.

I checked out crrllmich car for sale and I must say its definately a nice car and great deal but I kind of have my heart set on a 85-87 Iroc in the Bright Blue Metallic but I also like the yellow.

Thanks again,

Mike

Very cool old pics!

Just keep looking at local classifieds, autotraders, and on all of the various Camaro online classifieds. EBAY is another place to find one.

Good luck with your search and welcome to the boards Mike.

Thanks for the welcome,

Oh I have been keeping my eyes out looking. I check here often in the cars for sale thread, I check ebay everyday, the local papers, craigslist, even ask local folks to keep an eye out.

BTW I like those red stripes on your Iroc...looks real good.

Mike

Thanks Mike!

You'll find the right car. Knew a guy that had a blue '85 305 TPI car sitting in his back yard, but we've lost touch.

I know a guy selling a 90 RS with a 305 TBI and an auto. It has high mileage but some aftermarket parts. I think he wants $1500

I seen that auction...even saved it under my favorites.

Looks like a good fixer upper. Problem is I have no trailer to haul but ny brother has one...waiting for him to return from his vacation to see if he is up to it.

Does this look like a good deal to you guys? Or may I be biting off more then I can chew to get it in road shape?

Thanks again,

Mike
