Hey everyone,
I just recently got back into third gens so I'd figured I'd make my way over here. Started my passion for Camaros with a 1982 Z28 many years ago...traded that in 2001 for a brand new 2001 V6 Camaro.....then traded that in for my 35th Anniversary SS in 2002. Just recently I acquired a 1992 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition RS Convertible to go along with my SS. I am very excited as this car is all orginial except for a GMMG exhaust and only has 67,xxx miles. Car is in awesome shape. wow im super jealous. Both of them look gorgeous. Id love to see them sometime. I know Hampton Rd F-Bodies are planning a big event in williamsburg in a month or 2. Im thinking of making the cruise down there.

welcome, but You need to put the front plates on your cars or the state troopers are you to pick you apart then they do pull you over. Other then that 2 sweet a s s rides.

 

Do NOT put front plates on those cars. They are too nice for front plates. Maybe ive just got lucky so far, but i havent got haggled about it since i took it off last year.

it's a 250.00 dollar fine it they pull you over and you do not have it on the car. I was able to get out of, Cause the car was orginally form pa where we only use the rear plate, and I show pics that I had it displaied in the front windsheild and But the court date I had made a plate holder that comes up from the under the front spolier. the judge throw the charge out. But I was told he was being nice and that truly you only have 30 day from once the car is registered in va to put all the plates one the car.

 

wow...never heard of the fine being that large? Sure the cop didnt say that to scare you? I actually have got pulled over a long time ago when i had just got my car and i told him i was waiting for the license plate bracket from the dealer and he said nice car and let me go. I see vettes, benz, bimmers, porsches without front plates all day long. Kinda of a what mood is the cop in judges if you get a ticket or not i think. My car is plenty illegal as is and suprising only got a ticket for "defective equipment" which was thrown out for led bulbs.

Im just a kid still and i try and push everything to the limit, ill learn someday. Just hate these laws with a passion in virginia.

 

Ive had the SS for years now with no plate and it will never see a front plate, as the RS will never see a front plate either. I don't drive my cars much and will pay the fine, ANYDAY, than putting a front plate on the cars! I just got matching personalized plates I am waiting for, and they will only go in the back, not the front!!

 

have recieved one front license plate ticket in the 6 years that i have had my car and that was only 100 dollars after court costs and all that crap.Maybe the fine has gone up in the poast 2 years?
