Hey guys i was just wondering who was going to crusing oc this year. My friend and i just booked our room and were so pumped. its 5/15-5/18 and its gunna be a blast. Some guys on ls1 tech are gunna do a hang out and cruise and then get some food and we should join them.

 

I am going dont know what car since both suck at the moment

The formula's paint is so wore out its sad really, body work like dents and stuff need pulling, I need to fix my dash pad as well it cracked in 4 spots over this freezing winter.

My ws6 was rear ended and still need to put bumper parts on it and then get the bumper fixed and painted

Both need some exhaust work like welding, thats it at the moment but I am sure other things will break before then also

either way I am showing up with something both are slow compared to the beast that do show up and cruise around but its still fun.

 

If my car is finished I think I will make it. It better be the season is right around the corner.

 

I'm getting pumped about O.C and just warm weather in general. Thats all i can think about is cruisin up and down the strip in my camaro. Thats my deadline for getting the car together...got a lot to do still. Haven't touched the car really in about a month.

 

yeah i think we all have work to do to our cars first. My 350 is still chilling in my garage about to go in. the paint on mine is pretty shitty also. but its sill gunna be fun to go cruisin.

me and my friends decided to go up on thursday so its gunna be a nice long weekend.

 

I plan on making it this year but I doubt it will be in the bird unless I can find a running 2.8 to drop in. More than likely I will be runnin my 99 z71 around gettin noise violations.

 

Ill be there, with or without my car it will be close. If the car goes, it wont have the exhaust done by then so it will be open headers . I just hope MD wont care about my VA expired inpection. Or maybe they wont even see it cause of the cowl hood lol.

Wiring/fuel system is all thats left to do for me...

I will be there no matter what either in my junk, or my gf's '00 TA or my dad's '69 goat.

 

I may have to pass this year .

But if I can find a place to crash fri and sat nights, I would love to come for the weekend.

 

might be able to make it, but it depends. my brother is coming back from Kuwait on the 15th, but i might be able to head down later in the weekend.

 

Right now. It's probably about 75% of going. I REQUESTed off from work, but there is always that chance of not getting it. Also my paint might need a touch-up in the front, but if thats holding me back then I'll just get the car bra and head down. I own a place in OC on 133rd Street. Near Montego Bay. It's up in the air.

Would love to see the flock of Camaros and Firebirds riding through OC too. Don't mind seeing the Corvettes either.

I'll definetely be down there. Im tryin to talk friends into buyin cars so I have people to cruise with on the way. Mabye we can organize a convoy to OC or somethin, beat up on mustangs on the way.

 

I have had a hard enough time getting people to meet up that are already down there, much less get them to meet for the drive down. The problem setting up a convoy, is that everybody wants to leave at different times/days. Good luck, I think it would awesome to get a convoy of 3rd gens. To bad, I'm not taking time off from work. So if I find a place to crash, I won't arrive till fri evening.

What I really think would be bad ***, if we could all meet up sat and cruise around as one big 3rd gen group for awhile.

Im in OC every weekend at Seacrets so im going for sure. Dont know if I ll have the iroc ready to drive by then might just ride in my boys mustang or ride the bike.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the same weekend every year.

 

yeah but when it comes to a horse race or a weekend of hanging out with people that love cars as much as me i take the weekend in oc.

 

looks like im probobly going down wednesday night, ill be towing my car down though, not sure if i trust the new electric water pump for 3 hours

Yeah you're right about the convoy-thing, it'd never work. We should definetely get a cruise goin though, we need to level the playing field, too many pony packs runnin around.

Will be at the Sahara from friday-monday, got finals friday morning or else would leave thursday night. If tax checks come back in time, the car's gonna be a hell of alot badder when it gets there.

Thanks! You should have followed us. I was down with my neighbor and his dad in the blue 79 vette that was in front of me. We were going to check out a friend of theirs 67 chevy 2 that he brought down. 502, heidt's front clip, etc etc. Super clean. Made my car look like a POS.

I can't believe I've never gone to OC for this before, it was a complete blast. I'll be going again.

 

I think the most amazing part of this particular trip, is that neither my self or any one with us was arrested.!!!

There were some sweet cars.

 

Was anybody else here at the corner of the Spinnaker and the Sahara on saturday night? It got pretty wild. A dude in a deep red/medium brown Iroc (it was dark) pulled up and was about to burnout and a cop pulled in right behind him... he kept going and turned into a parking lot. Had "Tuned Port Injected 5.7" on the hood.
