new from the richmond area

I got traded my 73 nova rolling chassis and picked up this jewel last week. Its a 82 z28 with a fresh crate engine, holley street dominator intake manifold, 650 double pumper, headers, 2 1/4" true dual exhaust, 4 speed manual trans with a hurst shifter, 140mph speedo, and rally wheels. The interior needs some work but it should be back in shape pretty soon and its going to the body shop within the next couple of weeks.

Re: new from the richmond area

You're so not the only one. When the weather warms up, we all need to get together one night and show off our rides. I have a ton of parts I'd like to sell too, maybe we could get a swap meet going. Even better would be a local power tour type thing.

Imagine, the real infidels have 70 virgins in heaven and we get 25 3rd Gens in a line rolling down Rt 60 or the Powhite. Ahhh the beauty of it all....

Re: new from the richmond area

got a little update. I figured out the wiring problem out on the camaro and the body man is tryin to **** around so it might be a couple of weeks from now til it gets painted. The wire from the alternator to the battery was missing then i hooked it up and the alternator started sparking when i hooked one up so the alternator is bad which sucks because i threw out 2 good ones a couple days ago cleaning out the shop. There is a meet that just started back up and is a whole bunch of different cars not just camaros but its sunday 6pm at anthony and georges steakhouse I think that it was the one on hull street just park out back it used to be 130 cars so trying to build back up the volume again.

Re: new from the richmond area

I guess if I made that comment in the Paint & Body forum, my comment about "showing off" our cars may not have been taken the wrong way. I really meant to say we should get together so you can talk about how FAST your car is!

Re: new from the richmond area

long time member here , just got back into third gens though, pulled the trigger on this gem...86 2.8 automatic firebird, with 365k on the dash..lol engine has some knocking , but other than that , she needs some interior work and exterior work , but she has 4 brand new tires and a folder full of receipts from the p.o. and best of all, She's begging for a v8.

not bad for 300 clams.

Nice Z, don't see many with clutches around. I'm from williamsburg and i have a 84 z myself. I just nabbed some cavalier seats from chesterfield auto parts. Gotta love the yard!!! Looking forward to seeing some of you this summer at Richmond Dragway.

Re: new from the richmond area

it wont be seeing any time from me at the strip because I sold the shell and saved the engine and trans for another project but the new owner is throwing a new motor in it. Didn't want to but times got rough so a toy had to go.
