I am giving away a spare motor i have had in the garage for quite a few years. The motor has been sitting for probably 20+ years and it was intended to be used as a spare to build up if needed when i had my camaro. I no longer need this anymore and it is just taking space up in my garage. It is actually a complete long block but the heads are nothing worth while and probably should be just tossed in the scrap yard since they are not performance oriented at all.

The engine casting number is 14010207
The Passenger side plate Code is : V1206FSD

Just to be clear, this engine should probably be disassembled and the only parts you would reuse out of it are most likely the crankshaft and block for any kind of high performance use.

 

Can you look at the casting #'s on the heads and let me know what they are? All I need are the last 3. Thanks! I'm guessing 624 or 882?

 

I live in Fallston,and would be happy to stop by whenever you are there...friday afternoon or evening the 16th is best...what will I need other than truck, a tire, boards and chain.

 

If you have a cherry picker, i would recommend bringing with you as well. The motor might be heavier than two people to pick up and put on the truck. I will not be in town until saturday. Let me know if saturday or sunday is available for you.

Thanks for the cherry picker help, my dad would have taken all day using the boards and dolly. Maybe we will meet up at the point when you get another Camaro some day. I suppose the year you were there was the Mark Shields era.

That is correct. I remember going to Mark Shield's first third gen nationals and going to the first meet at the North Point State park. That was long ago.......
