hi everyone i just bought my 88 bird in december I'm a 19 female i go to a community college right now but will be going to UIC in the fall!! I dont have photos yet of my bird but will come spring cuz its too damn cold out to take nice photos and i have to clean it out abit. just wanted to say hi!

Welcome to the boards I am always glad to see more girls joining!!! Most of the guys on here are great and really helpful...and only a select few have the girls can't drive cars attitude but once you pass that the boards are a great way to meet new people and gain great friends!!

Hey just want to let u know that u might want to rethink what ur car is....A 88 2.8 V6 silver GTA...GTA's came only w/ 5.0L (305's) and 5.7L (350's) V8's But other than that I cant wait for the picks and WARM WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!!!!

 

everywhere i check online for info they have 2.8 v6 as an option for an 88 bird. also i got the bird from a kid, he had dumbed the original engine cuz it was crapy...so he put in a chevy 2.8 v6 instead, but in a year i'm going to repaint it and then after that i'm saving for a 350 engine to put in it! :rockon:

 

what--- y would you put a 2.8 in a GTA???

 

No Offence But Either The Kid you bought the GTA from was On glue or He did a really good job of ripping you off by pulling the 350ci Engine and selling it then putting a 2.8L in and selling it to you. I think you Got hosed!!!

Hopefully at least it has a good body on it and some nice rims
and in time you can buy a MONSTER engine for it!!!

Heyyy welcome. Yea i'm up near norridge. Anyone near there? I got my iroc docked till spring.....dont want to deal with that salt. I'm puttin mods in the summer. L98's are pretty easy to add onto.......

 

i work near norridge at irving and harlem, czach auto. right now my 92 RS is in process of recieving a 350 from an iroc. so be on the lookout for a blue rs with the heart of an iroc.

 

i know where that shop is, thats kewl, my iroc is blue also....its a 90'. Good luck on the swap, theres soo much **** down harlem, we need more 350's.

 

i dont know if a 350 does much good on harlem since you can only move 2 mph in between the intervals of stoplights. i avoid it like the plague, but ill be on lookout for the blue 90
