Big spring Thirdgen party!!!

Well, a lot of people have been posting about possible spring meetings so I figured I'd better let everybody know what's up with mine. As some of you know I have a big Thirdgen party every Memorial Day weekend. This year it is on Saturday, May 24th. It will probably start around 1:00. I'm in Crete, which is about 40 minutes south of Chicago. I have over six and a half acre so I've got room for plenty of cars. I'll have a bonfire along with a keg and plenty of food. Also, I have one of the largest collections of Thirdgen parts anywhere so I can probably hook you up with any parts you need while you're here. Keep an eye on the Chicago suburb/NW Indiana board for updates. I'll set up a couple posts on that board in April so people can RSVP and request parts. As always, if you need any parts before the party let me know. I always have TONS of stuff available with more parts cars coming in all the time.

You're not kidding...last year the weather really messed me up. I'd like to have around 30 or 40 cars this year. Or course, you never know...I might have that many of my own.

you picking those 2 cars up yet? did you guys figure out a date? i need to pick up a 88-up trans since the torque converter i want to run won't work with my 85 trans. I think john has another 88 car that i might swap trans with him for, but i'm not sure if that's going to happen. There's nothing wrong with that 85 trans, just the wrong spline number for the torque converter.

If you think that is cool, you should see my basement. Actually, it should be totally finished in a week or two. I'll be posting pictures as soon as everything gets reorganized.

Gonna need directions from Park Forest. Maybe we can hook up at the first cruise on Main this year. I've got an 82 Pace---you'll hear me coming. I think I've seen you plate around town.

If you did it had to be a long time ago. My car's only been on the road once in the past seven years.

Hey guys,

I live west of Aurora. I'm planning on attending the party on 5/24 and would be interested in joining the caravan to the party. When the date gets closer, let me know the details of where to meet at.

I have a '91 RS with the original Delco am/Fm Cassette radio. The tape no longer works and I was wondering if you had one to sell. I'm trying to keep my car as original as possible so I don't want to buy an aftermarket.

Let me know.

I got your e-mail but when I responded it came back as "undeliverable". I sent you a PM through Thirdgen so, hopefully, you get that.

Hey, I just wanted to let you know I checked that stereo and the tape deck is messed up. It's just about impossible to find one of those that works. It seems like they always just skip back and forth between forward and reverse.

Hey deck man, i have a original out of my 91 that the tape deck works, but you know how the GM factory radios tend to act funny occasionally and lose reception if you hit a bump well mine does that

i'm located north of st. louis, i'm not too sure where your at but if your interested PM me

EDIT: I think it's the the 2nd option tape deck as it has the search feature on the tape player

Hey man are you the guy with the add in the trading times for 82 to 92 parts in the auto parts for sale section. Count me in for the bash, and if you have early rear disc parts for a nine bolt I'd be interested.

Hey LFN at U,

Do you have any floor mats? Mine are shot. I'm looking for at least the front mats and the rears if the price is good for a grey interior.

Let me know,

Thanks!

Yep, that's me in the Tradin'. I pretty much have an ad running non-stop from spring through fall. I think I have one set of rear calipers that aren't on a rearend. I'm not sure what condition they're in but I know they worked when I took them off the car. As far as the floor mats go, I just sold the only set of gray mats I had. I very rarely pick up anything with good floor mats. You're better off just buying them new.

nope last year i had to bring my SS truck since my camaro was acting up that morning. It was weird having a truck there instead of a camaro/trans am....but i don't think anyone noticed lol.

Non-thirdgens are allowed but they just have to park in a different section.

C'mon Denny, don't you think that before they decide whether or not to come you should tell them that their "different section" is a 12 mile walk from your house?

Are we paying before hand? When we get there? I know..I'm a lazy S.O.B. and didn't read through the posts to see if this was answered already. Anyways...hope to meet some of ya then!
Will you be taking 294 south? If so, check out the caravan thread

The party last year was free, but bring money cause he's got tons of parts and you never know what you'll need.

Sore- You better not miss the caravan . But you take 294S to 394S, then take that way down til you see the HUGE stop sign, you can't miss it. Make a left, o about two miles down. You'll see it, it'll be the house with all the thirdgens. I think he said he wanted people there about 1:00. Hope that answers it all
