Des Moines Area Lunch?

Hows Friday the 15th of November. I am posting this to see what the best time would be for everyone else, because i am really flexible, I am free from 12:30 till 2:30. Hopefully we can get some people, to come. Also lets have a discussion of where to have it. If SleeperZ28 works at Bob Brown and only gets a half hour, it may have to be around there.

So far whose game....

Sounds good. I'm free on friday's, no school or work. Where would we eat at?

Well I don't know what type of food you guys would want, but there is Arby's, Burger King, Mc Donalds, then there is also food like Famous Daves which has some good BBQ, but may take more than a half hour, Perkins. I'm just naming a few that are around Bob Brown.

Famous Dave's you can call in advance and have the food waiting for you if you're on a tight schedule. I'd like to do it there as a first choice over a burger joint.

No matter where we have it though, sleeperZ28 still won't have a whole lot of time to do much other than scarf it down, so it may as well be good food!

I like the idea of Famous Dave's also if we call ahead. but that introduces all new problems, what does everyone want to eat
So Bnoon, would you most likely be able to make it next friday?

Yup, I should be able to make it. Famous Dave's menu is available online if you need to order in advance. You should be able to remember your favorite meal from there anyway and if you haven't eaten there enough to have one, shame on you!

Should we notify one of you so you can order, or do we call it in ourselves? Prolly best for one person to order for everyone so they know we're together. Also, what time do you want to meet?

BTW, what's the diff between a platter and ala carte? Shame on me, I've never been to FD's.

Ala carte = French term for "by itself".

I'll call it in on Friday. I'll make a lunch post Friday morning asking for orders and call them in at 11 O'clock. They will take orders separately per individual, so if you make an order, you will be paying your own tab... OR ELSE!!!

If I call it in at 11, we should have the meet at like 11:30... Does that work for everyone?

Time works for me. I already know what I want....Smallest portion of the ribs(1/3 I think), with potato salad, and coleslaw.

11:30 won't work for me, but say 12:30 would be best, i get out of class at 12:10, so if I haul, I can be down here by 12:30. I'm gonna do like Josh, and want the "REG RIB 1/3 Slab- 4 Bone Platter, and my two sides would be, Wilbur Beans and Shack Fries. IF you guys can hold out till 12:30 I would be greatfull.
Bnoon, can you call mine in too, if you can wait till 12:30.

Almost any time works for me. Any time restrictions for anyone else? Otherwise Screamer will have to ditch class! :lala:

I would be missing Psyc, but we have a quiz at the end of every class, not really looking forward to missing a quiz. 12:30 works for me. Still haven't heard from SleeperZ28 though.
