Saving up money for a 383 stroker kit with some vortex heads and a 4-bolt main block. Already have the heads and the block, both free, best price.

for the most part, it looks like people are doing performance mods. I will be doing a few minor things on my interior, new dash, console, etc. I just cant decide if i should build my new motor, or buy some new rims.

11's would be awesome:lala:

Body and interior are the LAST 2 things I'll worry about.

Mine will run great before it looks great!!

Unless you like primer - in that case, it looks great already...

94 wouldn't look as nice when they both are finished but if it's an lt1 and in great shape i can certainly understand it.

anyone know where i can get some decent hydraulic actuators in different sizes?

I'm also going to driving mine all winter . Plan on getting it on the dyno and getting some basline runs sometime in December when my buddy gets his Mustang Dyno all setup here in Springfield. It's sitting on the trailer right now, he just got back from Ohio with it last week.

Probably work on getting a pair of skinnies and slicks for next season, QA1's and some LCA's SFC's. And have the suspension all setup for the cam, heads, TC, and Nitrous I'm planning for the Spring.

I have pretty high expectations of getting alot done before GIR opens up for next year. But it sure feels good to be back in a 3rd gen.

look in sport truck magazine they sell lots of actuators in there that you could use to make stuff move all around your camaro.

I am gonna be working on getting my LS1 ready for install in spring. This is probably all that I am gonna be able to do this winter since its all that I will be able to afford. If even that. LOL

I disagree, 4th Gen camaros in my opinion are better looking (especially closer to 2002), but harder to find at the local junkyards for cheaper parts. Then again my opinion is kinda biased, LOL.

Well, my car will be tougning out the winter for hopefully the last year, snow tires and all.

when many mistake a car for another like a 98+ camaro the styling just isn't there. i agree the 98+ ta's are more agressive and unique in the front but the 93-97 camaro has no styling without modification and the 98+ doesn't change much except for some chrysler inspired ideas. while i love all muscle cars in one way or another there are days i wish i had built a 4thgen. however, there is a reason they quit making them, they need some better inspiration for their designers.

i can get "hydraulic actuators" all day long if your talkin like hydraulic rams, $25...i think their capacity is around 2000lbs...second thought...prolly overkill, nm...

guess i finally found something where bigger isn't better

I personally think chrysler blows. Their designs are f'ugly, its that european B.S. that mercedes is trying to push on the domestic market. And their aluminum blocks can't hold the natural wearing of the engine, they leak bad or blow up under 100miles. And that's a fact I work part time with an appraisal company that does dealerships and the owner of the place told us this upon inspection of the dealership. Granted there are cars in the lines that don't do that, but alot do.
I agree with the 93-97 and 98+ design ques being fairly suttle, but cars are meant to be changed for personality, it's our canvas. We can't help it that car designers at GM are unoriginal morons that can't conjure up a new idea for aggressive without making it look like ugly foreign poop.

My best 60ft was 2.2, and i ran 14 flats at 103+mph.

Suspension, uggh. I think my springs are sacked out. I keep bottoming out on the most minor of things. I can add that to the list...

With traction how low into the 13's you think you'll get into?

back at you.

i have a front set of the eibach springs just laying around. make me an offer and i could get you a rear set to match ordered very cheaply if needed. you might even want to change the spring rate on the rear depending on what's done to your car.

I have a little 350 sitting in the garage that I think I will build. I also may be picking another body up with the exact same color.

So far the only definate thing for my car is 91/92 ground effects.

I'd like to get a 3.42 Posi rear and suspension upgrades, or some valvetrain work, but I dunno what I'm gonna do. I'll only be driving it for about a month next summer anyway.

getting the new motor in the IROC running/exhaust and rear end work. Then a coat of black paint. After that I've got a poncho 400 waiting to be transformed into a 467ci drag motor to go into a 88 Trans Am. I'm hoping the drag car will be done somewhat soon... But it all depends on what I do to the camaro.

well a solid job is very hard to find around here right now while going to college full time...so most of my plans are still on hold right now.

finally got the engine tore down tonight, found out 90% of the bearings are wiped out pretty mad now, since the engine only has 5000 miles on it.

i really dislike interior work but atleast its starting to look good.

:(

Well, my plan is now trying to get a new car. Me and my buddy were on are way to Western and we were involved in that pile up on I94 near Battle Creek.
Some moron rear ended me while i was trying to pull of the road to avoid the 12 other cars swerving and crashing into each other. He nailed me hard, my back hatch is completely busted, tail lights are smashed(but still functioning) and my bumper is smashed but in one piece, though sagging a bit. My alighnment is jacked because he hit me as I was turning the wheel to avoid the other cars, got a small dent in front from a car I bumped after getting hit. I slid about 50 ft about 2 inches from a ditch. 2 cars ahead wound up in it, the cop trying to help almost got taken out. We were told about 30+ cars were involved. I had to drive the car to school so we could get it unpacked cause we had all our stuff in it. I only have no fault on it too, no collision. I have no idea who hit me but I think I may have saw the guy drive away. We are ok though.

If anyone knows of a '85-'90 TA for sale with t-tops let me know.

Matt

Thanks Pat. Us bein not hurt was the most important part. I'm gonna look at the damage tomarrow, but I think the car is toast, I cant afford to fix it, plus the frame is probably bad as it was weak before that accident.

Thanks,

Matt

Nope, no injectors yet, no clue on what happened, could be in all the backed up mail in the university post office.
