fall racing

well with all this fall weather, im getting in the mood for the fall racing season. even though the car is running like ****

anybody got any dates and locations for racing this fall? any events going on? the only event i know of is M9 on september 25, and i have a wedding that weekend.....

i always like hitting up lapeer a few times in the fall, since they are open later. maybe a get together up there would be fun

m9 in sepetember is so tempting though. better be an important wedding.

i'll be heading out this and next week to try a few things so if anyone is going to lapeer/ubly/miland let me know. prefer the track rented days though.

there is one set for miland this friday for anyone interested. an impala club is renting it out.

I might be heading out to Stanton in late September/early October to make some licensing runs. Need to get my trans out and fixed though, and haven't had time to work on it lately.

I hear ya, plus the fact it isn't near any freeways. I pretty much have to go there though, since it's the only NHRA sanctioned track around.

Currently, Milan is IHRA, as is Martin, Grand Bend, and Norwalk. The closest NHRA tracks to the Detroit area are Stanton and Columbus (OH). I've heard that the owners of Milan are looking into getting NHRA sanctioning with a national event, but they will have to upgrade the facility even more before they will even consider it. It also seems that the NHRA doesn't like not having easy freeway access and no big hotels in the immediate area.

yeah that's a big problem...then again stanton isn't exactly off a freeway either.
