anyone want a 388?

SHORTBLOCK:
currently everything is still together sitting on a stand. will sell heads and shortblock together as it sits for $2700.

350 4 bolt truck block rebuilt to 388(diamond pistons, crower chromoly rods, gm 4340 steel crank, comp cam, etc.) all specs can be given if needed. 10:8:1 compression with the heads below. Candy red powdercoated block though which could always be painted black if needed. canton 7 quart pan.

Paid $3000+extras plus assembly. Asking $1800 ready to go.

Heads:

set of gm fastburn aluminum 2003 casting heads. They have been reworked and machined for more flow by advanced airflow research. Purchased from scoggin dickey parts in Lubbock, TX or through www.sdpc2000.com. again all specs, flow sheets and otherwise will be supplied if necessary.

Paid $1,200+ new and have roughly $700+ into port work and build up for around $2,000 total. Asking $1,100.

INTAKE SETUP:
$950 or separate..

Intake base is a vortec/fastburn TPI style for small block chevy, the only existing type of intake that will work with typical TPI style upper intakes with vortec heads purchased from SDPC as well. reworked by katech.

Paid $400. Asking $300

Accel/Lingenfelter superram upper intake set (includes runners, box, lid, gaskets, etc) is also polished.

Paid $1050 included for polished option. Asking $750

buy it all for $4,500. for $5,300 i will include march billet pulleys which cost $575 new, gm chevrolet embroidered valve covers, accel 58 twin throttle body polished, svo 30lb injectors and pretty much everything else you need to drop the motor in the car minus harness. i will also throw in a 730 ecu with proper programming that is also well worth over $1,000.

all receipts, paperwork and necessary spec info for documentation purposes for a pretty much turn key motor that i have close to $11,000 in for $5,300 or as listed i will separate.

let me know...

**NOTE THIS PICTURE BELOW IS NOT THE ACTUAL PICTURE OF THE SETUP... IT IS INTENDED FOR QUESTION PURPOSES ONLY AS THE MOTOR NOW HAS NATURAL FINISH VALVE COVERS AND A POLISHED SUPERRAM INTAKE**

Confuzed1 i know where your coming from, i wish i had this sort of deal back when i was looking to replace my l98 or even 383.

thanks pat... i was going to build two cars this year and keep that motor for the g/f to drive but i think i'd rather try to sell it while i can for extra mod money for the ls2. which will buy almost a head it think...

if anyone is serious i have a car we can put the motor in with you there, you can see and hear it run if that's your thing. i'll work on the setup and various other things if necessary to help out all i can. i've already recieved alot of pm and emails about it with offers around $2,000 for the lot and i'll be honest that is not going to happen. i understand things are not new and it is what it is but i'm already loosing my rear on it. i will also pay shipping to anywhere on the mid-east coast and split shipping to you west coasters. no overseas shipping though.

so if your truly interested get ahold of me and i'll try to work with you on any of it.

and pat... post it up, its of no matter to me. if you haven't already. these are pricey items indeed so i don't expect them to sell on here anyhow, i'll probably have to take them to ebay or just hold on to them.

pat yes i absolutely want that exhaust... assuming it isn't rusted out or the rest which i am certain it isn't let me know and lets get that taken care of asap ok.

steve, what miniram do you have. the only miniram that will fit fastburn bolts is a miniram III. to be honest though after seeing dyno results i gained so much torque and even a little horsepower with no tunning swapping to the superram. miniram may work, hell i've seen it work on other cars at the shop here but it definately held my motor back and the torque difference was enough to never look back.

as far as dfi and the rest... yes w2w is a great place isn't it. personally i've been through enough hoops that i can now get the stock cpus working with any setup that it isn't worth going to dfi however if you are going to a blower setup then yes i would go dfi. the only advantage to dfi is there are more shops to try and screw up your motor since only a handful can claim to do it with a stock cpu and try to screw up a motor.

once you get everything situated let me know and i'll make a few calls to some guys at gm. don't bother messing around with any of the shops in our area for tunning. unless you go dfi and then that's another ball game. if you do go dfi look up Maniacc as he has been dealing with their hassles the last year or so and finally got it worked out. he'll be able to help you out nicely.

also before i forget please check the main post in this thread. the picture in the thread is not the actual motor as it sits. the actual motor looks better.

i've recieved 3 pm's and 2 emails of people telling me i'm decieving the world with a picture of the miniram..... is it that obvious that the intake in that post isn't a superram?

the exhaust is still rust free. the only things i changed was the flange to a 3 bolt style, but i actually still have the 2 bolt that i cut off. and i put on flanges where it was cut to remove from your car.

do you know where your going to get your ls1 w/trans from?

a friend of mine works at a local yard where ls1 combos come through all day long for a very reasonable price.

as far as the exhaust let me know what you want and when you want it.
