keep the car or what?

i recently just bought a 99 ws6 that i had plans to build a 10 sec street car.

i am getting ready to sell my 3rd gen, but while working at the shop today, i was approched by various people and every single one told me not to sell it. one in particular was an old girlfriend in tears. this car almost killed me 2 years ago, so a lot of people get emotional around it. i have gotten a few pm's from people telling me not to sell it also. while hanging out at a friends house tonight, again everyone told me to keep my 85 and build a ls1 to put in it.

so what does everyone think.....

with all the work youve put into your car your actually willing to sell it?

i think you should keep it, i get goosebumps everytime i see it (in a good way) its just awesome!

i am a huge fan of 98-02 ws6's, congrats, but if i had to chose to only keep one id go crazy

btw if you dont mind me asking, how did it almost kill you 2 years ago? just curious

Hi Pat
I say put the LS-1 in the 3RD gen ,(real surprise there!)
What is the weight difference between the 2? As far as getting into the 10's goes..Is it enough to make a difference?
Good Luck
Steve

That car is beautiful, I wouldn't sell it. How many clean 98-01 TAs do you see? A lot more than clean 85 Camaros. And you certainly don't see many 85 Camaros with an LS1.

Keep it, especially if it's sentimental to you and your friends. Personally, I still think the 3rd gen cars are better looking than their 4th gen counterparts. If something disastrous ever happened to my TA, I would build another 3rd gen.

if the car is as nice as everyone is making it sound and its paid for KEEP IT. unless you don't have the space and don't really need the cash you will regret getting rid of it, every muscle head always tells of how he had a great car once that he loved and got rid of it only to regret it, like I said if its paid for and there are no issues for storing it or having room for it then keep it.
