If they're going outside the vehicle, use led, and seal them up so rain doesn't get to them.

Its all about placement. I put them in my Land Rover and couldn't even tell. I made sure to screw carefully

Re: anyone no<?

The problem with the off-the-shelf kits, is your restricted to the size/length. The long tubes are shorter than our wheel base, so you end up with a gap.

I've thought about having custom made, to the length *I* want & have them fit, just right. It's not a problem doing it, I just haven't actually done it yet. Other things keep coming up.

Re: anyone no<?

$5/foot, plus a plexi/acrylic/lexan tubes to protect the neon, plus mounts plus the wiring plus a trasformer, for the 12v to power the neon.

I have't looked for any 12v DC transformers, I'm used to 120v AC ones, so I dunno how muchthose would cost, but I'm doubting very much, based on them being included in cheao store bought neon kits.

Re: anyone no<?

Even at 5ft per side, 2ft front & rear=24ft total....$120...
Quick online search for a DC transformer turned up $15-$35...
Wiring is practically, if you already have some, or a friend does...
Tubing to protect-$10

I'd say probably $175 for a kit that will FIT & not leave gaps in the lighting, except for the tires themselves.

Not to mention, higher quality than a generic kit can provide & your choice of lightig color, including a color that is ot available ina shelf kit. Want pink? No problem Want green? Purple? Whatever you want really, within reason.

Re: anyone no<?

Do it on the inside. Looks cooler. Besides as low as our cars are THEY WILL BREAK!! Inside hooked through your stereo thats the way to go.

Sorry about the Freudian slip. Unless... hehe
