I am looking for a someone I ran autox with this past weekend at Rt-66. He ran an 82 black trans-am in SCP. I had the red getto 83 foxbody in SSM. I believe his name was Eric M. Not going to list his full last name. Give me a shout if you see this. We should try to get more foxbodys and thridgens out autoxing...let the old streetfighters go at it again.

I'm going to be auto-xing this coming Sunday with CCSCC (Champaign County Sports Car Club) over in Mattoon IL at the Coles County Airport. It's supposed to be a real nice place. Let me know if any of you other guys are going.

Re: Looking for a fellow autoxer...
Well, Ike took out the auto-x on Sunday. We were going to just do fun runs for $1 each in the rain, but right after we got done doing parade laps, the wind and rain picked up and blew the cones all over the place. About an hour later all of the cones were pointer cones. I was a little bummed, but I'm hoping they'll have another one there in the spring. The surface is great.

Re: Looking for a fellow autoxer...
As far as I know, the only SUV allowed is the Typhoon (can't remember brand).

I race at all the Milwaukee, WI region autocrosses. I started to race my dad's 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport Quad Cab in H-Stock when I turned 16, then I bought my camaro (about 3-4 months later). I ran the camaro in the stock class for two events in order to finish the year and then jumped to STX which is were I currently run the car. There are a couple pics of me racing the camaro in my VBgarage.

Anyone interested in autocrossing at Miller Park in Milwaukee...
The next event will be Oct. 12
The Madison region will hold another autocorss at Miller Park on Oct. 19
Send me a message if your interested.

Mike

PS - My sig is not up to date... The cone count should be 8 higher than what is shown. I went through the finish sideways on my second run, which was good for 5 cones. Another came from getting to close while in a slolom, the final two were from letting the rear swing out to far while accelerating out of a turn and clipping some cones.

Yeah definitly, it would be awsome to see more domestic cars at the autoX events. I will be at the next 2 events coming up at RT 66.

Cool Eric. I'll see you there. The weather looks nice. I just need to get the car back together before Saturday...

Re: Looking for a fellow autoxer...
That sound familiar, I installed a new ring and pinion, had my transmission out to adjust the bearing end play, installed a rag joint eliminator, and reinstalled most of my interior. I am just finishing up and one of my brake calipers is dragging for some strange reason. So I know how you feel. Anyways, yeah the weather looks like it will be really nice and I will see you Saturday.

No problem. The times are posted on the SCCA site. You were on fire the last run! Just think if you have wide sticky tires!
