i recently bought a 1992 firebird it was on ebay but i bought it after the auction was over which was a mistake. It didnt have a motor and was supposed to have a built th350. Well got my motor in it and it was junk and now the kid doesnt respond to emails. So If you see the username patcars2 on ebay i would avoid it. The kids names is Jeremy steele he works in schamburg which is where i picked up the car but lives in harvard, Illinois according to the title so if you find him selling something i would avoid it. And sense i bought it outside of ebay i cant do anything.

 

thats the chance you take buying a car from ebay, or a use car/roller in general. You can never really take what somebody says as truth. Always ask/look for recipts for parts that are "supposed" to be on the car, and always give the car a good look over BEFORE you buy it.

Sucks you got boned, but its just a trans, you can always get a different one. Or did you pay a lot extra because of the "built" trans?

theres the car i payed the 1600 and i do have a different trans but its just the point

thats the risk you take when you buy a car you cant drive, what is wrong with the trans? i mean it doesnt say its a working built th350 lol, not that it makes a diffrence but maybe it is built, just no longer working

 

doesnt pump fluid at all so no drive or reverse or anything

 

2 things could have happened here, first, the trans filter fell off and is sitting in the pan, pump can't get fluid to pump probably less likely. Second are you sure you got the converter all the way in?? You could have not had the converter all the way in and upon start up the pump gear will break thus the pump not pumping any fluid.

 

filter is fine and im pretty sure i had the converter in and i double checked it now so i know its in.

so did you ever figure out the trans issue? or did you jus replace it

 

yea it was the pump was bad got a new trans pump and its works good now. Altho its a full manual vb from what i can tell. Seller never said and didnt respond to my email so im not 100% positive.
