New to thirdgen.org, Not new to Third Gens
Hey everyone! I've been a creeper on here for years with my previous 2 F Bodies ('91 RS 5.0 TBI & 89 TA 5.0 TPI) and since I just bought another I decided I better sign up! I see the wealth of knowledge and How-Tos has grown a lot since my last visit.
I picked up this '91 RS from a lady who found it in a barn and claimed to be the 3rd owner. Carfax checked out so I didn't hesitate to drop $1200 on it. Has 93,000 original miles and has only recently seen a handful of midwest winters.
She has for the most part been well taken care of. The interior is fairly clean with exception to dash cracks and a couple cigarette burns. Body has very little rust in all the usual places, door skins and rear wheel wells but no significant body rot. Rear end and trans (w/ B&M transpak I'm told) have been rebuilt within the last 5000 miles. Motor could use a tune up as it sat in her driveway all last winter and up until this week when I found her. All in all I've fallen in love with 3rd Gens all over again and can't wait to get crackin'!

Welcome aboard SLAB!
My first new car was a'91 RS. I enjoyed that car so much, that when it was time for a new toy, I couldn't resist getting another 3rd gen.

Thanks man. I'm glad I came back to a 3rd Gen, the wife not so much haha. My first car was also a '91 RS, had it for a couple months and was totaled by a drunk driver.
Today was great weather so I decided to get in the garage and button up a few things. Oil change, rear end lube and after the test drive discovered a small spot or trans fluid on my driveway.
Got underneath and noticed right away a small drip from where the VSS goes into the tail shaft. Had fun finding an O ring that sealed properly but I got her done. All in a day's work, love this damn car!
