I just got a check for $1800 for body damage to my Camaro. I'm looking for a GTA with a great body and blown engine/tranny to drop my engine into. If nothing shows up I'm going to fix up my 'maro's body but it needs almost every panel. The good things are that the interior is perfect and the engine is great. Decisions, decisions....What do you guys think?

Were like the quietest board on here, we need to start posing here!

I check the board daily, and nothin much happening. I'm still driving mine, and will be all winter. It was sliding around, but my brand new Dunlop SP5000's help a lot . I can't wait for spring. My car has a small oil leak and my dad and I are gonna replace the gaskets, and while we have all the stuff off, I might throw in a cam and some headers. And it'll also be time to try Zaino!

zaino rocks, I'd use it, but one of the things I'm gonna do is get the grand prix buffed after the camaro is sold. then zaino afterword.

insurance is too much @ this point in my life.

my girlfriend promised that once we are more mature and have some kind of home, I can pretty much get any camaro. even new, if they are back by then. I'll likely get a 92 z28 or a ls1 4th gen. then again, my dream camaro is a 71 RS/SS or z/28.

keep in mind this'll be in @ least 3-4 years from now. I'll be 23-24 by then, and I'll be more mature.

one thing is for sure. never a v6, again. ever, unless it's her car, which'll likely be a hot pontiac anyway -- i.e. GTP.

I occasionally check this board, Ya there's not much activity here, especially during winter. I met the guy i sold my 85 Z-28 to, through this forum though, so it is useful.

I was driving mine... Snow and Ice.. HA, I've driven Camaro's in the winter since i was 16. first was a 84 plain jane, then a 78 z28, and Final is a 84 Berlinetta. I planed on driving it all winter, but... the rod bareings didnt agree with me on on the last race. New plans are to walk all winter, and rebuild the motor.

i drop in every once in a while, although i don't really have a lot to say. finances are super tight for me right now, and i have been told that i am free to move out if i so desire. so, hi ho, hi ho, off to work i go! however, i'm still hoping to have the camaro ready for summer, but time will tell. also, my daily driver (90 acclaim) is crapping out, so i may have to set the camaro aside, as i try to find a truck for a daily driver. a friend may sell his 88 1/2 ton chevy, or i might look at a suburban here in town. too many decisions for me, lol.

Qwktrip, do you know the approx ETA of your firebird? i may visit family in arizona in late july/early august, and if i have the camaro running, i am thinking of driving out.

Yup. Just lurking as there's not much goin' on to report right now. I was tempted to reinstate my insurance with all the nice weather we've had, but on reflection, maybe that's not a good idea any more . Roll on Springtime.

My car is in storage too, but it is all worth it. I love my car and I'll never let her see Oct through April. Salt is the devil for these cars, they are just too cool to drive in the winter. I feel sick when I see a nice one driving around in the winter. Anybody can have a rusty fbody, but not all can have a rust free gem. Have some respect for the car!

I actually drove my car on Jan. 12th, we've had a pretty mild winter so far. Most of the time the car sits in the garage. Last year it went in november 14 and didn't come out until april. Hopefully winter will continue to be mild and short and the IROC will be back on the road.

GO PACK!

I drive my car all winter. When you're 16 and pay for everything on your car you don't have too many options. I'm getting some POR15 to make me feel confident enough about my underbody holding up even in the salt. Go ahead and store you car, my Camaro is steardy in any whether not to mention dounts in the school parking lot!

silence in the midwest

The only thing happening around here is the list I'm making of all the things I plan on doing to the car this year. It's gotten long fast. Just waiting for it to warm up.

um. I drove my camaro to my parents the other day, to stick it in the backyard till I can stick it in parking lots for sale. I drove it in the backyard and got it stuck. I then borrowed my mom's blazer to push it across the backyard and on to our old basketball court.
