Friday May 24 isn't it? I don't know what time it starts though...I think around 12 noon. I'm going to try my hardest to be there. I only live about 20 minutes from the Speedway Motors place, so it shouldn't be too hard. Hop on over after classes. I don't think I'm going to be going up to Omaha, but I'm going to try to get to the start of it and take a look at what is there. Do you have to be registered to get near the thing or what? By the looks of the schedule.. I should be there for the whole day 1. That is going to be a blast. You should come down here Snflupigus. You are the only thirdgen.org guy I know that is near Lincoln.
I don't really understand why the whole thing is starting here in Lincoln though. Oh, well. Hope to see some other thirdgen guys there.
We should get together or something. But we can decide later.

Ya just have to browse around at:

No one is coming to this thing?
I guess we really don't have any hotrods, due to the fact that our cars arn't that old. But I'm sure there will be some sweet cars there.

Hey guys!
I'm going to try to get to the power tour today....currently 1am here Anyway, I am going to see if I can use the digital camer and take some pics for you guys who can't make it. I think the camera hold like 100+ pics, so you better have a fast connection for this stuff. If I get too many, I might have to wait and post them when I can get to a faster connection. Hopefully that wouldn't be too long. Anyway, hoping to get there around noon and stay a long time.
There have been a ton of cars around tonight. Friday night is going to be crazy too. There is a cop car on almost every street. I bet a lot of racing goes on.

Well, hope to get some pics taken.

Well, I can't do any of the cars there justice by just trying to describe it to ya. There were tons of cars there. I'm guessing somewhere around 1000 were there. I'm not sure though, there were cars everywhere. Just the ones I walked around in the short time I was there had to be close to 1000. There were some thirdgens there. I loved em all. Very very nice looking. There was this one Trans Am however that had be totaly worked over and they had chopped the top down a little. It was about 3/4. Then they had added those wheel skirts like you see on the old 50's Chevys, or whatever, where you have to take the cover off to get to the wheel. IMHO, I thought that totaly ruined the car. The front looked pretty good, it looked about like a 86-88 Trans Am, with the bowlingball wheels(no covers), chopped, and with the skirts.

I was a little dissapointed in the cars that were there, although, I probably didn't see most of them. I did see a Fiero with a Buick 328 or 238, maybe it was a turbo 238 or something like that... correct me on that, I'm not sure what Buicks came with around those sizes. Those were pretty cool.

Tons of Vettes, mostly the C5 models (late 90's early 00's)
They were doing a dyno in one area. It was a portable dyno where they put a car up on a trailer with the rollers, and ran a test on it.

I mostly stood aroudn and basked in the rumble from exhaust as the cars were coming and going.

But, I really wish it wouldn't have been raining, so that I could have taken some pics for you guys that couldn't make it. Hopefully another show will come by. I heard about Americruise this summer or something, I know a guy that helps with that sometimes, and he told me to go sign up to help at it. I guess They have engine building competitions and stuff. He got to MC that last year. But, whatever gets me in for free I guess.

If this thing comes anywhere close to any of you, I suggest you check it out... plus, it could spark some more creativity and we will have some cool ideas to share with one another.

Peace...I'm outta here!
