FS: Focal Utopia 33wx 13 inch sub. 99%new

I have an extra focal utopia 33wx top of the line sub, 13 inch, I had 4 of these, 2 of them busted the window out rear hatch. I traded one and have this one left. They cost $1200+ each new. Yes, they are worth it, the clarity of these speakers are unbelievable, This isn't in the original box, but it is new(only tested once to ensure proper working condition) and you won't be dissapointed in any way. I used a stock photo of this sub. due to the fact it is now in storage and if it doesn't sell, I'll simply dig it out of storage in the future to use in one of my vehicles.

below are details on this subwoofer from their site:

Focal's top-of-the-line Utopia speakers exemplify Focal's dedication to musical perfection. The sound enthusiasts at Focal worked without constraints to develop what they consider to be the ultimate in speaker technology. Utopia Be subwoofers employ unique materials and unparalleled construction to add incomparable dynamics and natural sound to your system.

Focal's composite sandwich "W" cone features a layer of durable structural foam between two layers of precision-coated glass — the resulting membrane demonstrates exceptional agility, rigidity, and damping to produce realistic bass notes without distortion. A supple rubber surround maintains precise control over the cone, even during extreme excursion. A massive, multi-element magnet, high-linearity two-layer voice coil, and zinc alloy basket give the sub rock-solid power and strength.

The Utopia 33 WX2 13" subwoofer represents the pinnacle of Focal's pursuit of perfect-sounding, full-bodied bass. It handles up to 400 watts RMS and works in small or medium vented boxes. Utopia is defined as an "ideal place or state," and these hand-crafted Focal subs let you take your music to that level.
Details:

* 13" 4-ohm subwoofer
* "W" structured foam and glass composite sandwich cone with rubber surround
* zamak (zinc alloy) basket
* multiferrite magnet
* power handling: 50-400 watts RMS (800 watts peak power)
* frequency response: 27-350 Hz
* sensitivity: 90.28 dB
* top-mount depth: 5-7/8"
* ported box volume: 1.24-1.59 cubic feet

You can pay over $1200 for just one of these, Im letting mine go for much less.Will ship via UPS ground in U.S. only. Rare enough to come by one these, let alone at the price Im asking.

asking $850 O.B.O

email and paypal address are the same if you have any questions

400 watt rms, seems a little low for a 1200 dollar sub, hell the rms for my w3 is 500, and that's a 260 dollar woofer

Focal Utopia is not a sub for picking up trashy women or showing off. Its for people who love music. 400w rms is plenty for a balanced system. In fact the difference between 400w and 800w is hardly noticeable.

Also the Utopia at 90db with 400w will be significantly louder than your W3 at 87db with 500w.

Re: FS: Focal Utopia 33wx 13 inch sub. 99%new

haha, I was jus lookin at the price compared to the output, because 1200 is in competition range and if you aren't looking for alot of bass, then why even have a subwoofer?

Well there's a difference between enough and too much, right? I've never been in a car where 400w and a decent sub wasn't capable of enough. By enough I mean balanced. Your mileage may vary.

Re: FS: Focal Utopia 33wx 13 inch sub. 99%new

Depends on what your requirements are.

1. Are you looking to be heard 2 miles away?

2. Or get the best sound quality possible?

If you are #1, you wouldn't buy this sub.

If you are #2 and have the money, you'd consider it.

I'm a #2 guy. Except for the money part. haha.

im neither really, just want a balanced system which is what I have, and I could find a dozen other things on a third gen where I would rather spend 1200,lol, like maybe another third gen, haha

I would have to agree. For me its not worth the money either. The JL W3 is a nice all arounder. I was just making a point.
