anyone in queens or LI?

 

Im in Suffolk, LI. Anyone have any plans to get together before the weather gets bad. Sunday mornings at the old OBI on Ocean Parkway is always packed, but little to just me in an F-body shows up in the mornings. Vettes, Mustangs, and Vipers are always around and some hot rods too. Would be cool to see some thirdgens there before the winter sets in.

I live in Great Neck. I have a 91 TA convertible w/ 65k & 89 TTA w/ 50k.

 

Hey, I'm in Bayside! Where do you get your work done?

 

I do all the maintance on my cars myself. I never really had to do any major work on either of these cars yet like engine/transmission rebuilding.
The TA convertible will need its nose & trunk painted due to sun damage. I will try to do that myself. I all already reconditioned the interior also due to sun damage. Other wise its done.
And the TTA is almost perfect I just bought it a month ago. I just completed detailing inside & out, including engine. I just need to change all oils, spark plug & wires, oil, fuel & transmission filters, & clean/recharge the K&N air filter. And the antenna needs to be fix & I need to recondition the drivers seat on the side.

 

Good for you. Seems like you know what your doin. As for me, just got the car. Just got new ignition components, rebuilt carb, k&n and some bigger tires. Plans for a flowmaster american thunder. You know any mechanics around us good with our car?

 

I'm from queens. I just picked up an 87 Firebird after years of Thundebirds and Cougars. I usually try to do all my own work, but it would be nice to know of a mechanic who is good with our cars to call for advice or can do a good job on the work that I can't do.

Im in Elmont Long Island I can recommend my friends shop in Island Park. They are always working on hooped up street cars. Also, if your looking for performance (big work), my good friends shop is opening up in babylon very soon. They will be doing my S/C install
