another newbie

hey guys whats up? just want to introduce myself. my name is bill, im from bricktown n.j. i met a few of you guys at the toms river gathering i'm a member of 2 other sites and like to browse around but don't want to be a stranger or a unknown lurker!! 1 of the other boards is full of 16 yr. old wanna be ls1 owners that do nothing but dream. the other board thinks there is no other gen of f-bodies except 4th gens and we all know that 3rd gen's rule! i'm sure i'll get along with everyone because i'm not a wise @ss trash talker, i just enjoy reading and chatting about our cars. i will continue to post on my old sites because i met some cool people there (not many) and i will check this site out also. like i say a met a few of you guys in t.r. and hope that when it gets warmer out again we can all get together . i know this saturday nite some people are meeting again in t.r. i think i'll head out that nite also, if it's not to cold i have no heat in my car(fair weather car) if you guys go and see me stop by and meet me. it's more fun when you know who your chatting with. thanks guys look forward to getting to know you guys.

Hey, let me be the first to welcome you here! I am not 16, but 17, and although I don't have a 3rd gen I love the cars, and respect them! There are a few fox body Mustang guys here, and if you do any posting on the street racing forum, you will get to know us quickly!

Any way welcome, and those times in your sig look pretty impressive for a 305!

well, it seems like i am on the right track with my Z28, just need a 150 shot, 305 torquers, and a bigger cam/converter LOL

here's my set up: 305 roller motor-stock shortblock, mildly ported heads, comp 252 XR cam, TH350 trans, stock converter (but i have a 2500 stall) 3.23 posi/disc rear, edelbrock performer intake, accel cap, rotor, wires, plugs, module, coil, edelbrock 600 CFM carb, full length headers, flowmaster true duals/ side-exits

i'm kinda thinkin' i could use more camshaft

if it sounds like a weird setup, i bought it this way (mostly)

thanks guys..
1991 tealRST-topguy , your set up is really close to mine. but let me tell you that the latest mod i did ( lakewood 90/10 drag struts and 50/50 drag shocks and adjustable control arms were a great help) i brought my 60 ft times from 1.7's down to a best of 1.58 well worth the investment! and what part of brick are you from? lake riveria here.
misterjuice i'll have heat so i'll be there. i just picked up some of those packets of instant heat that you snap to make work and i'll put them in my pockets for warmth

MUST BE YOU!
i dont know if you know him or not, Pat Bailey, he lives in Lake Riv too

i live on burnt tavern, but i went to old brick, long story LOL

yeah, i am currently considering a better cam and hopefully better heads

as for the traction department, i dont have ANYTHING yet that will help me but i plan on it

do you have bolt-in or weld-on SFC's? if you have weld-on's where did you get them installed?

mark your right the 150 shot does help out nicely. but you need the 150 shot because the 100 shot wouldn't get you there.
1991tealRSt-top guy my sfc are by southside(ssm) and they are welded on. i had it done at mieneke on brick blvd. the dude's name is paul and he is THE MAN! tell him you know me and he'll hook you up.. i got a story to tell you about him if your going to t.r. on saturday night
