Anyone Going To Camaro/Firebird Challenge in NH 6/5?

Just wondering if anyone from the boards is going to New England Dragway this Saturday June 5th in New Hampshire. My brother and I will be there... my brother is racing his '86 Camaro and I'll just be watching with my '88! If anyone is going, I'd enjoy meeting you! Anyone else racing or showing I should look for?

I thought it was great! This was my first time going there. It was just so cool to be surrounded by so many Camaros! The actually car show was kinda small, but there were a few fantastic third-gens! The biggest thing was the 1/4 mile races. My brother was the only one running a V-6! His times improved every run, but he only ran a 17.5sec at his fastest. Some camaros were insane! I wish I had the skill and money to compete with some of those!

I was there racing. It was awesome, I wish they would have a camaro day every day. I ran some personal best et's and had a great time. 13.13 @ 106 was my best run of the day.
Nicki88, did your brother's car have red flames on it?

MCas7, yup, my brother's car was the one with the red flames on it. It's funny to watch the home video of him racing...he looks like he crawls compared to the other cars! Just does it for fun and the rush! He bought the car for $800 a couple years ago and it was a piece! He blew the motor, dropped in a new one, and did all the body work and paint himself. He hopes to trailer his 69 Camaro up to the dragway later this year to see what it can do. Maybe we'll meet up then!

Wow, that is funny. I beat him in the first round of eliminations. That paint and body work looks good.

I used to have an 87 Camaro with a 305 in it and when I first got it, it only ran 17.4 and I thought I was flying. But that was my first car and you have to start somewhere.
