Newbie from Mass here...
Here is a picture of my 1988 IROC-Z Convertible - 5 Speed, 5.0TPI - Chipped and Leather Interior.
I purchased her new in 1988, and have put 145K miles on her over the years. I haven't driven her in the past 5 years. She has been sitting in my yard under a cover and on a piece of rubber matting.
I am in Mass, and this past weekend it was very windy here, which caused the cover to blow off my vert. When I got home and looked out back and saw her sitting there, still shiny and with great lines, it got me thinking about shining her up and driving her again.
I then went on the web to see if there were other Thirdgen fanatics out there, and came across this board. Looking at the pics of the other thirdgens, and the many posts and enthusiasm about them, it really has motivated me to start working on and driving my Vert again. Nothing is better than cruising with the top down, and hearing the rumble of that V8.
The thing that I may have a problem is - space to work on my vert. I have a 2 car garage, but won't be able to work on it in there until it stops snowing here, since my wife's car and my daily driver are in there. I will be seeking info from the Northeast Forum Board about potential places where I can store and work on my car here in Mass.
I will be searching forums and asking questions - and I appreciate that there are others out there like me that really love their Thirdgen's.
