Alright guys its in vernon.. heres the address... Its right near the aqua, angellino's, a few gas stations, down the street from autozone, theres a friendly's near by, also a blockbuster and taco bell. if your comming 84 east its exit 64/65, you stay to the left and go on the exit 64 side, take a left at the light and it will be on your right.
if your comming 84 west... its exit 65(vernon center) you will take a left onto hartford road, follow that straight down past i believe its a KFC on your left keep going to the next main intersection and it will be on your right/diagonal.
hope this helps!

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
damn, you guys are organized well. I worked on my car last night, found the oil leak, fixed it. Changed all my coolant sensor stuff so the car will run hotter! My freekish car doesn't like to get hot hahaha. Rare problem. Anyways, my gf is camping with her mom, so I might be free, AND IN!
I will have trouble getting there by 6 though
It will take me almost 2 hours to get there...+ rush hour...+ I can only leave work around 4, How long are you guys gonna be there? I can get there maybe by 6 but wanna play it safe due to traffic and say 7.
(I may just tell everyone in the office that I have a dentist appointment and have to leave at 3, haha. That way I will get there by 5 or so, and can detail my car while I wait for you guys, haha. )
We will see. Hope to see you guys tomorrow.
Should be a great time.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Dennis, from the sounds of what usually goes on there we should certainly be there still by 7. Getting out for 3PM though just makes for a great start to the weekend. I'm actually not in my office this Friday but will be back in Manchester by 4...I don't think I'm going to go back to the office for a whole whopping hour.
86Z, what time are you out of work? Maybe I'll just cruise over to your place until 6.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Are any of you guys able to meet up on Sat. ever. Not tomorrow necessarily but maybe in the coming weeks? I am going to shows all weekend since the gf will be out of town. Anyone have anything going on Sun or Sat night?
If I can sneak out by three, which I most likely can, looks like I can make it.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
tourville: I am trying to start a local car club. I think I might have told you already. Not too sure.
You would be the ninth person in it. It is growing fast. I have a master excel file with Names, cars, online names, e-mails and phone #s.
If you want me to contact you when we are planning something big, lemme know. I am trying to mainly get e-mails so I can send out weekly or monthly updates and stuff with like what people are trying to sell or our own little parts reviews and stuff. I feel like it would be great since we can acctualy get in eacheothers cars and go for rides to see what the mods "feel" like.
Anyways, everyone and anyone interested, let me know. PM me with your info and I will add you to the master file. Once it is a little more complete I will send the file to all members.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
I feel something big is starting. You start off with a dozen guys or so and within a few years your at 30....then you gain the attention of the big boys....Super Chevy, Camaro Performers, etc. It'd be nice to atleast have a "regiona" orginized presence when you do something like the Marks show in East Grandby every Monday night (freakin HUGE show), or Carlisle, or Super Chevy in Epping, NH. Big shows that come around once every year, that way people have enough heads up time to plan. Can't wait to add my car to the mix.
All, I'm looking for a welder and someone who can help me design / fab an exhaust. That's the only other "part needed" obstacle to get by and then I'm on to tuning before I'm out driving around your neighborhoods destroying your noise ordinances.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Too bad I didn't notice this meet earlier,...... I need to Peel a little rubber from the tires on my Berlinetta. I haven't had it out much this year - it got backed into at the end of last season and screwed up the paint on the nose pretty bad.
I've also been putting WAY to much time working on my other 2 coupes ( 86 & 87 ) to get to many car shows this season. The 87 was "done" but broke a front spring a few weeks ago. At least the 86 is almost completed !! ( Other than a paint job there's just a couple of "odds and ends" left to install )
Enjoy the meet tomorrow Guys,........ Maybe I can attend the next one !!!

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
86Midnight...I understand the Sox situation. I have to admit I'd do the same thing if I had tickets. I'll my my D70 (digital Nikon SLR) camera and ready to shoot. There should be a girlfriend or two as well with a camera. We'll have pix and I'll probably post most of mine on my photobucket site: http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y205/AC1LE/
It will take a few days to get them up there. We'll get some more interest for sure once pix are up. I'll see you all there in my Chevy (tahoe), maro is still in my garage beginning tuning.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Hey tourville, I PM'ed you about getting your #, but scratch that, I got it off this thread. I will leave work today at 4, then I need to go home (20 min) and give the car a once over to make sure I feel OK driving it that far (15min), so that should be around 4:35, If I leave then, I might be able to make it there by 6:00-6:30. Then chill there for 3 hours and start the drive home.
Lets hope the weather agrees to stay nice. This morning felt sticky and kinda like it might rain.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
OK, well I drove the car around during lunch break and she seems fine. I am getting directions now and am going to go home to give it a once over and leave to head over there by 4:30. Gives me 1.5 hours till everyone is there. Hope to see you there!
----------------------------
Got directions and less looks like I am going to make it. This will be the longest trek the camaro has ever done. Kinda nervous, but I am sure it will be fine.

Looking at the weather on line they are showing its supposed to start to rain around 6. That being the case Im probably not going to be there, I dont like driving the car in the rain and its about a 45 min drive for me. This really sucks cause I was lookin forward to it. Anyway we need to get something together again for sure and hope for better weather. Cant wait to see the pics of everyone else and sorry I cant make it.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
It was really good to meet you all. Good to see what 6 cars showing up does. For those of you who drove a good distance only to get wet and turn around I'm sorry. Just a quick thought is if we could get a few more meets going one of them should be in the further areas that people come from. That way we spread the "love" of driving farther to a meet.
The orginizer of that show came up to a few of us in a group and asked who was the president of our club...hahhaa....Think what would happen if we had 10-12 cars! We would have dominated the show. For all of you who didn't think your cars were show worthy your wrong (my 2cents. You atleast put your car in line. I'll post pics by tomorrow on my photobucket site.
For anyone wanting to hang out (including you Chris!) my garage door is always open. I fart around alot in my garage on my car doing this and that. I'm always designing something for our cars on the garage computure (yes I even have a PC in my garage with DSL).
My hope is to have my car running within 2 weeks so I'm in for whatever "next time" is.
Thanks for showing up tonight<

Good pix. Here's two more. The last one was pretty typical of the weather. I have 1 of each of your cars as well which I'll put up on photobucket when I can.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Jay, I'm in the same mindset you are...next time our cars are there. Camaro430sut, one of the orginizers for the show actually came up to us and asked who the president of the club was, we said he didn't show!! No big deal not making it. You can redeem by coming to the next one (insert date here).
DennisBernal from Boston was talking about getting his guys and our guys together soon for a meet....somewhere in the middle of all of us wherever that would be. We're talking around 16-18 cars total between the two groups!!! Let's all get that one in the works.
For the future (club comment earlier) I'd be in to like a twice a month meet starting next spring. I'll even host a 3rd gen gathering at my place if need be. Whatever happens.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
I agree, i would like to do at least 2 a month next spring, even if its just a breakfast thing. I think we should get a thing so everyone has everyones phone numbers, and maybe even look into going to a couple of those car shows that were on the paper we got from golf land. Don't know who plans on getting everything orginized, but im sure any of us would, im up for it if no one else wants to. Id like to make up something saying everyones ID on here along with their names/info on their car(or cars) depending on if anyone has more than one! It would be nice to know how many people we have actually interested in going to these meets and have it all written down.
Ac did you get my pm about the thread we were talking about when we were under the tent?

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Tom, I did get your PM. All I can say to that thread is WOW....and I'd love to do that door handle mod. That's one helluva a car now. For future meets it's just up to popular demand / vote. Seeing as I don't have my car running yet I'd travel to wherever. The twice a month thing gives the people who say didn't make one meet that month to try again. There's ALWAYS shows around here. There's golfland on Fridays, Marks in East Grandby on Mondays. Worchester Summer Nats, a kick **** show out in Plainfield CT (not Plainville) in late August. I've heard of a couple going on at Navigators stadium in Norwhich throughout the summer. With DennisBernals crew in Boston we'd know about many more shows. Really a good time once you're able to network. Having said that I like Tom's idea of atleast putting together a list of nicks/names of people who attended last Friday and are interested in future meets. If we need an emailed list with more information than that, then I'll do that as well.

Yeah why not? an emailed list would be good, it would give us more info on each car... and maybe even get to the point where we can get a website going for our ct thirdgen (FBODY) as golf land put it =D club,

Guys, why don't you all PM me with your emails and I'll send you one from my email account copying everyone on it with "the list". I'm not a fan of posting my phone# and email publicly.

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
Have any of you ever checked out www.ctfba.com? It is an F-body club. I have attended some of their shows and there are always tons of cool camaros from all around New England (including 3rd gens). They have a fall show on the 22nd of September. We could crash it with a large number of 3rd gens. They don't have all the information posted for it yet though............

Re: Any interest in a CT thirdgen meet
I've been a CTFBA member for awhile and I know there are a few others here.. the board doesn't get a whole lot of action. They do try and have a few events through out the year, but the club is very loosely organized. They didn't want to have a lot of rules and regulations which is cool, but for some reason there's not too many dedicated members. It's a good group of people, and the 2 biggest shows are usually the season opener and closer.
http://www.ctfba.com/sept07.htm that's the link for the Fall show, but as Brian ( manifoldsrme ) pointed out they haven't figured out all the details yet. Used to be held at hte MBA products parking lot which was great, but since they closed up shop they have had to look elsewhere.
