Hey man, what part of Jersey? The track(s) (Atco, and Englishtown) will be opening in another month and a half, so you better get that thing ready cuz we'll need you to represent w/us. Need any help (cylinder head, camshaft, intake, exhaust installs, etc.), just say the word. I also see that your Italian, ahh, so we have more than just F-Body's in common, ehh....?

All of the emission vacuum lines can go, just be sure to get your visual inspection ahead of time, and save whatever you do remove for the next time around. A good catalytic converter is all you will really need to pass the sniffer, once everything is tuned appropriately. Things are starting to really heat up at the track, so you need to get yourself down there every once and awhile....

Now if i remove the emission vacuum lines do i have to replace them with like a breather or anything? also i cant tell what can go and what cant. thats why i need some one to point out which ones i can remove, or better yet meet up with me and show me in person...i did just put an edelbrock 650 performer rpm carb on it, now i need to do exhaust...any recomedation of size i should go? also what is the stock piping size?

You'll definitely want to keep the PCV Pollution Crankase Valve hooked to the carb, while throwing a breather on the opposing valve cover. The only other vacuum lines I would run would be for the distributor (if it has a vacuum controlled advance), and for the fuel vapor canister. Everything else can go, it's not really needed....

I would go with a Hooker 2055 set, w/matching Y-Pipe, Catco converter, and a Hooker catback exhaust. The 2055 would be a great choice because if you ever decide to upgrade to a 350, they're the perfect choice for either or, in my honest opinion....

Re: New Guy NJ...

Welcome aboard Bill. As others have already pointed out, check out NJFBOA for some local activities. The club members in northern NJ are very active, so if its easier to get to local meetings and hang-outs from your house, be sure to look at the Northern NJ threads on the forums.

Mark your calendar in August for our F-body Nationals, held at Island Dragway in Great Meadows (outside Hackettstown). There's more information right here on TGO about it.

See ya!

Re: New Guy NJ...

Welcome I am from sussex county and denfinatly check out NJFBOA. there are local car meets every month, car shows during the summer, we get together with other car organizations. You will find great deals on local parts that maybe some one has in their back yard or even have their own shop that can help you do the work.
