there are 3 third gens at harrys u pull it near green lane pa. i was there today to get a part for my car. there is a white iroc with a burned up front end that has many good grey interior parts for the back of the car. some side and rear ground effects pass side door in great shape(elec wind. no armrest) driver door in real good shape.(again no armrest) two red camaros that were v6 cars. some good engine components left.LOTS of great condition red interior plastics.if your into red. good doors some with man. wind.they have great prices.two bucks to get in.bring your own tools.friendly guys in the office.real good place to go.

 

Yeah its a real great place to go.The guy at the pay window with the white hair and glasses is a real price gouger.I hate going to that harrys yard.He charges you for every single little thing you have.The fbodys there are crap.I picked over that white iroc and the red camaro with the smashed in roof when they first got there.Try going to harrys allentown or hazleton.You will get alot more for your money

 

he was in a good mood today.i got the plastic piece for the driver side back seat where your arm would rest and the seatbelt comes out for $5.00.hazleton has NO fbodys right now,and theres only one crappy picked over one in allentown.know any good yards in our area?

I find that hard to believe.I was in hazleton about 3 weeks ago and they do have quite a few 3rd gen fbodys.I was in allentown last week and there were at least 5 3rd gens there too

 

i guess i will have to go up to allentown.last time i was there they didnt have thet many.hazletons to far to go and not know whats there.last time i went there were none there.and i guess i wont waste my time with morrisville.

 

Yeah I was at u pull it in morrisville about 2 weeks ago for the first time since october.They had 1 fbody.It was an 86 z28 that was completely picked over.They also had mostly the same old cars there from when I went in october.There is a yard right around the corner from u pull it in morrisville called pic a part.Address is 820 bristol pike,morrisville pa 19067.Phone# 215-295-7610.They usually have a few 3rd gens there although they might be picked over too.Depends on what your looking for.Prices are fairly reasonable.

 

i was at harrys u pull it in green lane on sat and a new third gen was just brought in.two guys were already getting the fenders and doors.it is charcoal silver in color.it has black interior that is in ok condition.it has a 2"steel cowl hood that they want $200. for.i bought the hatch for $60.it is a 2.8v6 car that runs good.it was hit in the back on drivers side.not to hard though.lots of ground effects are still good.front bumper cover looked pretty good.rear cover was a little torn but def.repairable.dash was cracked but not to bad.good gauges and steering column.thats about all i remember.

 

I never had any luck finding anything worthwhile there. I always had to goto pick-a-part which seems to hoard thirdgens

interior-wise on my car, what i really need done is the seats all have to be re-upholstered. The foam is tired and the fabric is not looking too hot either.

That and i need to re-weatherstrip my t-tops. Luckily the random leaking that occurs from that doesn't get under the headliner, just drips on my seatbelt and from there to the seats/carpet. Which means i'll probably need a new floorpan once the leak is fixed and i have new carpet ready. I'm fortunate though, that the car doesn't look too bad when you clean it up inside. Any damage is fairly hidden.

 

I was there this morning to check out that camaro.I like how they put it up front with the other cars that they charge more for the parts.Other than the hood there is nothing special about it.I asked the guy if I could get a few things and he told me to let him know what I wanted so he could tell me the price exactly as I expected him to.Said I wanted a few interior odds and ends and he said they were regular price.So I grabbed my stuff and he was actually cool with me today and didnt rack me up on price.He asked me if I own one of those classic camaros.Told him I own 3 of them.He told me they arent showing up like they used to and I said it all depends on where you look for them.

 

i also plucked a pair of brand new sony explode 4x6s out of the dash and a pair of real nice fairly new alpine 6x9s out of it.guy in booth charged me $16.50 for the two pair.either didnt know what they were or didnt care.did you think hood was agood deal?

 

I wouldnt pay 200 dollars for that hood and if you paid 60 dollars for a regular hatch you got ripped off.I can get rear hatches for 20-30 dollars all day long.Its funny but thats the only harrys yard that puts cars up front and charges higher prices for their parts.A while back they were putting all the fbodies in the front so they could get more money for the parts.Like I said before I really dont like going to that yard

 

maybe i did pay a little much for hatch , but the convience factor of getting it right when i wanted it and how much i payed for the speakers evened it out in my mind.next purchase is definatley a dash pad.

 

If you feel like it was a good deal then so be it.I have a big collection of pioneers and sony explode speakers that I bought for 2 bucks apiece.I have so many I dont even bother pulling them anymore

 

where do you find all these great deals? im on unemploment right now ,trying to put together a decent daily driver camaro on an impossible budget.i dont need a lot to finish my car and make it pretty nice but i want the best deal i can get on what i do need.do you have any nice turn signal lenses?and i still need a dash pad.and i would like to get a new grill.i have the stock 91 RS no fog lights no frills version.harrys is close but i dont mind traveling a little .i have time to kill during day.

 

I too have been collecting unemployment since jan 08.Before that I only worked about 6-8 hours a week so its not that big of a deal for me being unemployed.Im out at yards all the time.Lets just say that I have a good arm`s length list of junkyards throughout pa,nj,md...etc.Thats how I find all those good deals.I think I do have some clean front turn signal lenses.You know that you can clean them up with plastic polish.
