Re: New Guy

Thanks, great place to be.
So I'm thinking of changing out my interior to a rare black/grey Trans Am mint interior. thing is the camaro/fbird shop in long island is charging a pretty penny for it. Whats your opinion on that? Eventually I might be repainting the car cause some ******* hit the front while it was parked.

Re: New Guy

Personally I would use what you have, paint the interior trim, replace the carpet, headliner and recover your seats. Thats what I did to my 87 and it turned out well, but I will be re-doing my carpet because I don't like how it turned out. Its best to have a test run if its your first time, oh well you live and learn.

But cost it out, might be worth it, might not. White on black always looks nice.

Re: New Guy

thanks for the warm welcome.

Well if you need carpets i have the original reds in pretty fine condition then i have these other red ones that are great just sitting in my trunk.

Thing with my interior is that the driver seat track is busted so I've been holding it up with like two screws so I can actually drive. Basically the two front seats are broken, the PO must of not liked 'em.

The camaro/trans am shop out in long island makes like racing cars out of them so hes getting rid of the interiors.

He said 850 for the interior w/ labor. He told m the black/grey trans am interior is mint and was rare to find in the first place.

any ideas?

Re: New Guy

Well I don't know a lot about trans ams but the only rare interiors I know of are the recaro and the carpeted plastics (not too rare). post the question in the history section, sure someone with more knowledge should answer your questions.
