Where abouts in ct? I'm in ashford ct. I might be interested in doing it for you after I get my car back together. Do you have all of the parts to get it done? Only last question is if you trust an 18 year old to do it lol. I could use the extra cash... Let me know man

I live in Waterbury. Might be a little way from you but hey if it gets the job done lol no i don't have anything for it yet. Have no place for the stuff (moving and will soon have a garage thank god) and didn't want to buy the stuff and not get it done. But I mean i'd want to get it done after the summer cus i do wunna drive my car this summer as it's my first summer with the car. But If ya help me out and help me get all we need then maybe at one point we can work stuff out.

Or an alternative if you have a welder and what not. Maybe help me do an ECM swap and help me turbo the V6 ether way I'm game.

I'm 19 so workin with a 18 year old is no problem lol hey as long as you can do it it's ok.

Yeah that sounds cool. Just start collecting stuff from the v8 car or get a donor car. But yeah I'll definetly help out if there's compensation involved lol. But I don't have a welder maybe I'll pick one up this summer, I seem to always find a need for one...

Yeah I gotta see how things go. After being on here enough and talking to some people and hearing people around town mock the v6 looks like I might do the turbo. It's got 108,000 miles which is low for a 20 year old car so why waste it. I think over the summer I'll do what I can adding performance parts. Then this winter I'll start the turbo build. Maybe I'll pick up a cheap welder that'll get the job done. But I'm sure I may be able to use some help so I'll let ya know. Plus I think it's be fun. Well see my minds always changing and not gunna lie I am a little scared to do to turbo and blow my engine and then HAVE to swap a new motor in. Lol that's why Ima use this summer to figure what Ima do while I drive it.

But once you get your car together we should get other members around here and meet or something. Would be really nice as I don't see alot of third gens around.

Re: Engine swap in Connecticut?

Haha they really are mocked every where. You could go turbo I just wouldn't run alot of boost with a stock motor. You could find a cheap 305 or 350 and go carb with a supercharger. I am actull looking to go procharged when I can afford it. But turbo v6 could be a fun build. Just depends on how much money you're looking to spend lol. Keep yur eyes pen for some local cruises
