Depends on what cam you are getting. I have a 110lsa and a lot of tuners won't touch it so I'm data logging and sending my info to a tuner in another state. Call around to some dyno shops and see if they do chip burning for tpi. I think McBride's dyno said they dyno tune our cars.
Been awhile since i posted on this thread but here is a update on the ole camaro.
Its now got a borg warner s366 on it and a 35 hp shot of n20 to get it off the line.
Ive been racing the crap outta it so far this season. Done well so far. Picked up a few good round wins up at milan in points. But it has also proved to be a constant 11 second street car now. I drove it 200 miles over the weekend and then raced it at norwalk. Its a fun fun car.
Ill be heading to national trails for a full weekend on the weekend of the 28th, anyone going to be heading that way that weekend?
In Kent OH. Building track day 83Z ("home brew road racer" on fabrication forum for build thread). Looking for help this winter to get it finished. If interested send me an email 83rdracer@gmail.com

CashMunson, I have tried to reach you through PM and email but no replies from you. Like I said you can see the progress on the fabrication forum under "home brew road racer" My big issue right now is to get it sand blasted and painted underneath and the engine bay so final assembly of the drivetrain can happen this winter. There are a bunch of little items that need to be finished. Some involve welding holes shut in the firewall or seams on the front frame rails. Others are trimming some sheet metal under the floor pans.
In early March I came down with a sinus infection that resulted in me getting severe headaches. After many trips to various doctors the consensus is that the sinus infection aggravated a major nerve in my head causing the constant headaches. They have no cure for this and the severity of the headaches has caused me to quit working for now.
It is a struggle to get out and work on the car even though it is about all I have to do right now and something I am very passionate about. Having someone come over to help one or two times a week would force me to get out there and get something done.
So if you or base86 or pestilenceiv or anyone else close to Kent would like to lend a hand please send me an email 83rdracer@gmail.com. You are all more than welcome to just stop by and check it out.
I can help out some during the week and on some weekend days. As for the headaches, I get severe migraines and I watch my caffeine intake. On the migraines that are bad I have a prescription for immitrex. Look it up. It works wonders on my migraines. It takes about two hours for it to go away completely.

86base, thanks for offering to help out. This saturday looks to be a rain out so a good garage day. If you want to come over and look at the car this weekend let me know and I'll give you directions in a PM.
Pestilence, thanks for the offer. I take it you are in the military and stationed overseas? If you are back home this winter or next spring give a shout I would be honored to meet you.

Dave I sent you a pm. I honestly hardly check this board anymore. I can probably stop over sunday and check out the car and maybe we can get some things planned out as far as how you want to go about completing things.

Looking pretty good. I really like the 82-84 thirdgens, they look more aggressive. I'm usually up near Columbus for car related stuff and North Lewisburg isn't that far from there.
turbo 84 huh, nice yeah she needs some love. doesnt look too hateful from the out side but theres a decent amount of rott i gotta fix on her yet, will be a mean bitch when done tho!!

I bet it will be! Rust repair is intimidating at first but it's really not that bad once you get into it. Replaced all the floor boards on my car and it took probably three days to get the floor boards fully welded up after removing all the old junk.
Ive done a few frame off's so im not worried about it too much. just gotta get it stripped down and on a rotissary so i can blast it and get started on her. dont think the place i live at would be happy about me doing that in my current driveway lol

Oh, my bad
I wish I could have gotten my car on a rotisserie and sand blast it, lol.
So, it has finally begun. I picked up a set of staggered 01-04 C5 wheels today for 250 bucks, that I'll be wrapping in BFG Comp2 summers. Now I'm just patiently waiting for a set of heads to come along for a nice price, and it will be on to that phase of the winter project.
I have officially gotten started on my winter build. I have all the parts and supporting mods here to install ZZ4 heads and cam, and I got started cleaning up the heads tonight. I am giving them a gasket match port job, and giving the valves a quick lapping to make sure they seat nicely.

Are those the staggered 17 and 18 inch wheels. If so can you give me width and backspace on the 18s.

I'm about 20 minutes east of Cincinnati. Just got the slowest Z28 in history. I had one back in the mid-80's, and this one was so clean and low mileage, I couldn't resist.
Even though it's slower than my daughter's 2010 Subaru Outback.
I've already found some good info on this forum, so thanks guys and gals!

It is grey. The carpet is non salvageable. The back seats need redone i have anniversary seats for the front as for the plastic and dash its black. The door panels are grey. I have two sets of back seats but they are in need of being reapolstered. I am willing to give you some pics to see if it is worth tour time.
What is that Trans am National's all about if you don't mind me asking ?
The Dayton Ohio Trans Am Club sponsors a national show each year in Dayton. It is open to all years of Firebird, Trans Am, Formula and any other version of Firebird. There is typically a cruise in Friday evening, all day show on Saturday, an insanely large cruise in Tipp City (about 20 mile cruise) Saturday evening and then judging and awards on Sunday. It is a pretty awesome event if you are a firebird fan. There are cars from all over the US and Canada and include everything from rare original to wild custom. Google Trans Am Nationals 2016 for more info. WWW.78TA.com. Also includes swap meet on site.

Alliance eh? My roommate's dad owned Conrad's Auto Recycling junkyard up there. Really bummed because Conrad passed away a couple weeks ago. I don't know what's going to happen to the junkyard. My roommate (also named Conrad), his mother and brothers and sisters aren't interested in running it.

Running a yard like that is a lot of work. What they just want to sell it off ?
