We still have some piles of snow at my house. I live up in NE ohio, I don't think it broke 60 degrees here yesterday.

Re: Ohio?
New performabuilt stage 2 4l60e is installed, the wiring harness is loomed up and tucked away, ecm mounted inside the car, fixed some odds and ends. 86Base helped me get everything taken care of. I'm ready for some nice weather!

Re: Ohio?
Radiator sprung a crack and can't be repaired. Shelling out for another radiator is going to take some time. I wanted to be out May 1st but now looking for like June/July. Sorry guys. I had a good amount of money saved and decided to buy new computer equipment. Dangit. Then again, if the radiator was fine, I'd be out around May. I'm bumming right now. I just bought all new hoses, fluids for the whole car, oil and trans filters. Grrr, really no reason to do any of it if it's just going to sit. I'll see what I can do.
Re: Ohio?
Got my 82 out of the garage, did some rearranging. I have it for sale if anyone in NE Ohio area is interested. Link to sale ad:

Re: Ohio?
Not worth the time. Have other things to do as well, so might as well wait to do it all right? I'll be in touch too. I have all new fluids I'll need to break-in lol. Adios for now. Found a solution that might be better than what I had for $100 cheaper. We'll see.

Re: Ohio?
What's up guys?
Still kicking here, just been occupied with other aspects of life lately. I am now a transporter, and have a new truck. It's a 2011 GMC 2500 SLT crew cab, with Z71 package. So, if any of you guys ever need cars hauled, I'm your guy. I will run pretty much anywhere, if you got the cash.
I didn't see Morgans message about the track until yesterday, and I don't check in here often. I can't go out anyway until I get some tires and wheels, and another radiator. I plan to get a few other things done too, while I'm at it.
Here's a few pics of the new truck, and a few of it doing it's job.

Re: Ohio?
And P.S., don't mess with any of these small time tuners. I have read the stories over and over again. When it comes to something as important as a tune, I go to the pro's who have already earned themselves a name, and run a real business. I used PCM of NC, Inc., and as you see by how my car runs, they know what they are doing and I couldn't be much happier.

Re: Ohio?
Now, I need to figure out my fuel issue. This issue reared it's head a few years ago and then went away, but now it seems to be back. The car smells of gas if I run it hard, and it just devours the stuff like water. Cruising normally, it seems to be OK, but if I go too fast or romp on it a bit, the gauge just drops like I'm pumping the **** on the ground.

Re: Ohio?
SO guys, I am being offered this 1990 Corvette, which has just been freshly painted and has been professionally built for auto X. I have driven it, and it is indeed a monster, but fully livable on the street. He said I can have it for 10K. If I can make it happen, should I? Here is a video that was made by a previous owner. Mods are listed in the comments.

Re: Ohio?
It says sold in the details. I would personally never buy it. 12:1 is race gas territory and that cam is really damn big for the street. Sure you could drive it on the street, it wouldn't be all that comfortable though.

ptc race converter, 10", 2800 stall. I don't like it very much. The car launches hard but I can only foot brake to 1800.

Re: Ohio?
If you're going to try and be a post **** and give people **** for what they post, then yeah this thread is going to die off. I don't know what your problem is, but if it wasn't for people like myself, morgan, jason and a handful of other people posting about their cars... it would have already disappeared into the pages. I know the OP (Rob) personally, he's a friend of mine. This whole thread was started so ohio people could talk, share stories, offer parts to each other, and find out what was going on in the local scenes. These threads were the only way to communicate before social media like facebook.
I'll just leave you with this. If you don't like what we are posting about, keep scrolling and move on.

We are still on topic and are bumping this thread so Ohio people can find this thread easier. People are connecting and conversing with each other about local cars, local track runs and local meet ups so you point has no meaning that this thread has gone off topic. We just like talking about our cars, experiences and helping other people in Ohio
