Re: Ohio?
the ebay heads are copys of the older afrs the biggest problem is that they are assembled with cheap valve springs and valves.
if u buy a set buy a bare set for 250$'s and install good valves springs locks and retianers

Re: Ohio?
I got that grand prix today along with he 12.98 time slip pass (1.81 60 ft time) he made last year. That was with skinny rear/slicks on the front though. I know this for sure. This car would dust my camaro in the 1/8 mile. The TQ from the supercharger is insane. Right now its tuned to 12psi of boost. Also he let me keep the rockers(1.9:1) and the loudmouth headers too for free. Should be a fun ride to have as a DD untill it warms out then the camaro will get the loving...lmao

Yea I agree. Any RWD car is just horrible in the snow let alone who wants to but the fbodys though the winter if they can help it.

Re: Ohio?
Heres what I got yesterday. 86k miles on the body 45k miles on the L67 and trans.
I sure could have though of a better color to paint the charger. Its a third generation M90 charger. Its better then N/A I suppose. Nice headers and other stuff also on the car.

Its a pretty clean car for what I paid. 2500 bucks. It was a really close friend though and he knew I was in a pinch to get a DD for work.

Re: Ohio?
I drove my camaro many years(8 winters) in the snow when I had no choice. I hated it because of the stopping part. And that I could only go though so much snow before the front fashia was plowing the snow...lol Many things i disliked. I know that the FWD heavy cars Ive had are just better at moving because of the weight and also they stop better(more controled at least) because of ABS

I have a feeling I'll be learning to rebuild a tranny this spring.
Started it up twice in the past few days, and for the first few minutes, the tranny pump makes noise on and off. I know that sound well, so I don't expect it to last too much longer.

What an idiot. Did you ask if he installed the I D 10T mod as well? LoL
Your 60' time was part of your ability to run the number you did. With 2.73 gears and stock stall I can only achieve a 2.2sec. 60' with no tire spin. Also I can only rev to 1K without starting to push through the brakes on the line. I need a stall and gears BAD in order to get a good time slip.
I assembled a 355 for a guy around the Cincy area a few years ago. 89 Iroc, 355 with SRP stock replacement pistons, stock cam, stock 87 IROC L98 heads and stock TPI. With the weird 9 bolt mid 3 gear ratio he had ran 13.9's to 14.2's at Edgewater with the DA around 1200-1500 range. (actual alt. ~500)

Re: Ohio?
Yeah, I got off the line really good, but it has more in it as it sits. I only launched at 1K ( I know it can go a little higher, but it was my first run and I was gonna work up to it), was on bald/cheap tires, was granny shifting by 500 RPM, tune needs work, and was at 1729 DA when I ran the 13.5. Only reason I didn't get more runs is because the track was run by retards. Thompson raceway park is trash, and they are lucky I didnt beat the **** out of the old man working the lanes for screwing me around all day. Was a complete waste of 20 bucks and a crap load of my time.

Re: Ohio?
I've only raced at D42 and Thompson, but I've been to damn near every track east and north of Columbus. Friendship park, salem drag city, thompson, magnolia, norwalk, 42, national trails, etc.. I plan to give salem a shot this year for some T&T, and maybe make a trip up to Norwalk.
