Yeah, everyone has their preferences. 98% of people love it, so I can take a few who don't.

Honda's aren't worth your time? What the hell is wrong with you buddy? Nothing puts a bigger smile on my face then smoking some riced out import... or even the occasional neon.

Re: Ohio?
Stepping up the tech in the GTA over next few weeks. Got a navigation dock to mount my Razr phone on my windshield, the knight rider app for it from vinwap games just for the fun of it, and a Pioneer DEH-X65BT bluetooth CD player to plug the phone in to. I also have a 2 way remote start/alarm system to install, once I get a security bypass and T harness. I just need new speakers and a new power antenna now. I also plan on a GPS guided 14 band radar detector too.

Re: Ohio?
Yeah, for sure. I actually kinda enjoy wiring sometimes, so it will probably be fun for me to tear the GTA all apart and wire in a bunch of goodies lol. I was a tech for bulldog security for over 2 years, so it's pretty much all a walk in the park for me. Might add some entry and mood lighting while I'm at it too. Nothing ***** though, I'm going for a classy look. Think Mercedes.

Re: Ohio?
Fun day so far lol. I pull out of the gas station and a black 05 GTO pulls out behind me. We showed off for each other real quick, and then I turned off to autozone. Then on the way home, I turn onto the highway behind a 55 chevy, and he chirps tires and gives it a little run. I follow suit, and of course end up blowing past him. I look in the rearview, and here comes an old *** r!ced out yellow honda civic flying up on me, going for a r!cer flyby. I lay back into it and we end up at about 130 with me holding him off as we hit a long winding S curve. I slowed down to feel out and settle the car into it, and he just kept going and passed me up. I hammer back down out of the turn and we ramp it up for the next part of the S and this time I held on. We were doing about 125-130 around it and when we hit the straight, he cut in front of me and we went full bore. I finally end up sweeping by and after I got in front of him had to hit brakes hard for a truck in my lane. Found out my brakes aren't up to it, and they heated and faded real fast, but luckily he saw me coming and got out of my way. Got off my exit and race over, a win for me as far as I'm concerned, but that little f*cker was definitely quick and put up a fight.
Wasn't watching my gauges, but luckily I happen to be using my new nav dock for the first time and had ulysse speedometer app running. When I stopped and looked, this is what I saw.

Re: Ohio?
The scary part was the 130 around the long sweeping turn because I need new tires (it was pretty sketchy to say the least), and the brake fade issue that I didn't want to find out about pulling down from 140 MPH while bearing down on a silverado hahaha.
Need to get to work on the brake and cooling upgrades, because it bothers me now that I know they can't handle it.

Re: Ohio?

I was born in Barberton and lived in Akron. Do you ever hang out at Winks?
Have you checked car-parts.com?
If you have a 355 in that thing, you might want to consider upgrading some things on the next tranny before you throw it in.

Re: Ohio?
Need a 1 stop shop to do some work on my car ASAP (44125 area, and the car WILL need to be towed to this shop). I've been searching for a few weeks and not one shop in my area seems to know what they're doing, saying things like hood pins are too much work, or the car needs to be driving to install fans.
I need a shop that can do both body and mechanical work. I'm tired of the search and wasting days off work to call and talk to morons. ****, if a couple of you guys want to come over and overhaul my car I'm more than willing to pay. It's going on 7 years since I drove my car 3 miles from buyer to my house and tore it apart. I want to driver Roxie again. All I need is lights for the garage. I have no power tools.
Work needing done:
Aerocatch hoodpins
Dual fans wired to a controller to the center console.
Doors, trunk and steering column locks replaced.
Please HELP me out guys, I need it bad.
Looking into these guys.

At the minimum I would put in a .500 boost valve, corvette servos, and a shift kit.

Very cool, me too. Love going to winks, just wish I had some fresh paint so I could park among the crowd and show off. My car is no turd by any means, but being amongst some of the cars that go there make it seem like it lol.

I was doing 131 around a turn.

What the hell are you using for gears to get to 131 in 3rd? I'm pretty sure mine is already into 4th by then, because when I crossed the line at almost 100, I was at the top of 3rd gear pretty much.

Hahaha, the only excuse you'll get out of me right now is lack of money. I been busy upgrading the technology parts (it now has two way remote start/alarm, and a pioneer bluetooth head unit), but I'll be back to mechanical after I get one more thing, a new radar detector.

Re: Ohio?
His speedo dont work right at all.
Im clocking 105-107mph crossing the stripe at the race track in 3rd gear at those rpms (5500). I have 3.73 which arent much more then his. And dataloggs to back the info. So unless hes changed his gearing in the trans or has big mudder tires in the rear, hes not going that fast.

Re: Ohio?
Finally cut the AIR pump off my engine, that has been hanging there for 3 years on a stripped bolt doing nothing lol. Tomorrow will be collector bolts (due to a "professional" forgetting to tighten them apparently, and now they are seized), steering idler arm, and headlight motor. A 3 row aluminum radiator is on the way that I picked up for $150.
Also finally put my ebrake cables on, and found out my rear swaybar mounts weren't on the axle right, so corrected that. Hopefully that will fix my little vibration, but if not then I guess I will pull the driveshaft real quick, and check out the U joints.

Thanks, appreciate it. A bit far away for a slipping trans and no hood pins, but still thanks. Options are always nice to have. Anyone know of a body/mechanical shop near 44125/Cleveland? Nothing but motorcycle performance shops in my area.

I was thinking of joining a car club. Anyone know of a good Ohio chapter near parma, Oh.? I did join NFTAC, but the website seems so outdated with not so frequented forums. Did I waste my 25 bucs? lol I did get a nice little sticker and dash plate and there supposed to be sending me a T-shirt. Anyone else here in a club?

Anyone in N.E. Ohio: Wooster is having a huge cruise in today. Starts at 5pm. Downtown Wooster. Should be 300+ cars there today if the weather is good.

Re: Ohio?
so the 2500 stall didnt work so well for street driving lol
swapped back in a stock one
whats funny was ive been playing around with 700r4 govenors
the my cars stock gov when it was tbi shifts at 4400 1-2 4100 2-3
lol no wonder it was complete crap as tbi
i tried the 85 iroc gov from the blown trans shifts at 6400 1-2 6200 2-3 but in the 85 trans it was 5500 1-2 and 5300 2-3 odd
that will work well when i do the lt1 intake swap
i found a gov from a 92 full size van and it shifts at 5800 1-2 5500 2-3 ie perfect
the zz3 cam pulls hard up to 6000 but falls off after that even with tpi im expecting it to pull harder with the lt1 intake swap
once that happens ill need a tune like crazy lol
swapped back in a stock one
whats funny was ive been playing around with 700r4 govenors
the my cars stock gov when it was tbi shifts at 4400 1-2 4100 2-3
lol no wonder it was complete crap as tbi
i tried the 85 iroc gov from the blown trans shifts at 6400 1-2 6200 2-3 but in the 85 trans it was 5500 1-2 and 5300 2-3 odd

Re: Ohio?
Well looks like this fellow Ohioan is down for the summer till I get my oil pressure problem fixed and motor put back together. Gonna put a bigger cam in than the one I had while I got it apart though. Maybe 540ish lift. Dunno yet.
