I may go on saturday also. Not sure though as of yet. I went to Akron U back in the day so I though it would be fun to check out the town and see what it looks like now and then hit up summit down the road.

Got awful quiet in here.
I tinted my windows, side marker lights, and painted my taillight centers. Also added GTS blackouts, and brighter bulbs all around.

My cars on jack stands the rest of the year. Im in the process of welding up some long tube turbo headers.
Here's some pics from the last day out at the car show a few weeks ago. That's my moms 1962 Olds 98 next to it. All original 44k mile car and is pretty mint.

I'm from Akron. Stuck in New Mexico for work right now though. Can't wait to be back home. I miss Quaker city raceway. Hell, even dragway 42 is nicer than the track in this town.

Welcome aboard man! I'm from akron, just dont live there anymore. I plan to start running Quaker next year if I'm not moved yet, but 42 was always my home track.

Re: Ohio?
It truly sucks here. I'm in Hobbs NM. I was up in Ohio this summer on vacation. Made some passes at Quaker on my cbr and my old lady made her first trip down the track in my diesel, she's hooked on racing now . Lol. Made myself homesick in a bad way. Always loved Quaker city, my earliest memories in life are from there and 42. Took her to her first nhra national event last summer at norwalk. I love the look on a persons face the first time they experience top fuelers going by. Didn't realize how good i had it as far as racing venues till i left.

Someone actually paid $3000 for that T-Ram too!!!! Unless you have an original 92 Firehawk I have no idea why anyone would do that. You can get a new MiniRam with the rails for less than half that price and make more power. I guess it is unique though.

That and my intake (superram) are the two best ones you can get, plus they are rare so they tend to go for $$$$.

Re: Ohio?
The guy got it for less and is a member, but for some reason refuses to acknowledge that the one I found is the one he bought. He even posted in a for sale thread I made on here and acted like he didn't buy it, then a few days later makes a thread about his brand new T ram lol. I posted in it and asked if it was the one, and he ignored me. Dudes some kind of douche.

Re: Ohio?
I worked up at Summit for 6 yrs, a buddy of mine told me that is the price he got it for. now they were running a 25% off sale on scratch and dent then too so he probably did get that off, so I guess it would've been $2250. the tram is good and superram is badass too, my buddy runs that on his GTA but for my money im going with a TPIS ram. ill give up torque on the bottom to make up the hp up top with the mini ram. they are all better than what I have now though lol
When did you work there? My brother was there in phone sales for 8 years.
Thank you!
Keep them coming everybody, you can vote everyday!

I'm still around. I haven't done anything with my car at all this summer. I just take it out, blow some doors off, burn off some rubber and then put it away.

Re: Ohio?
Thanks
just came to me! You know its funny the variety of our cars performance. there are the base 4 cyl, 6 Cyl. and carb'd V8s the the HO and TPI cars. I have owned a base 2.8 Camaro and a 5.0 carbd V8 and have had my A$$ handed to me by dodge omni's and old station wagons..lol but yet there are few that can touch my current ride and its all stock. but some modern V6 accord can cause me pain if they know how to drive it..lol
a newer GTO will hand it back to me.
btw.. the old cars times on this link cause me to be happy.. those 60/70s cars wern't all that quick in stock. Many of us could beat some if not all?? esp the modified LS motors

Re: Ohio?
Hey all, Drew from Dayton, Oh here. 24 years old. Starting to restore my dad's 92 Firebird 3.1 auto. Not really a full restore, just want to get it road worthy. I am NEW to this kind of thing. I am mechanical minded, but never really gone this far into a vehicle. Currently working on some floor pan rust in the rear driver area. To this point, I have removed all the seats, and pulled back the carpet to reveal a massive hole in the floor. Figured I would stop by here to see what people say... Good to be here, and so far the cars I have seen look awesome.

Anybody looking to buy or know somebody looking to buy a 355 hsr motor? Complete motor with accessories, tranny, harness, ecm with dyno tune, and headers.

Re: Ohio?
I looked at that car as a potential project, and just didn't see myself ever having the time. The body and chassis are real solid, and a good foundation. Gut and replace the interior, find a new digital cluster, fix the trans, and add paint and a few new body pieces and it will be a real nice car. I elected to buy a car someone had already did that kind of work to.

Re: Ohio?
I'm here from just south of Cleveland. I just got back into a Third Gen after a very long hiatus. I didn't get a chance to play around with the one that I had back in my younger years so I have a lot of questions and lots to learn with my new one. I think it is sufficiently setup to keep my modding desires at bay for a little while at least.
