Oh yea, he did didnt he..opps
Well I used those stones and just the different shape/grit sanding rolls. Probly not the best way I guess though. I know those stones get loaded up fast if your going at it hard on the alluminum.

dam u guys are lucky, its 16* right now and we just got 6+ inches of snow and expecting another inch or 2 over night.
id give anything to be able to take my iroc to the track since its ready to go now
i have to see if the track in vegas is still open and if it is take the iroc down there on low boost once before i rip it apart for the winter
only thing im worried about is vegas is 280 miles from me and the longest trip ive taken the iroc on so far was about 30 miles

Re: Ohio?
Yep, have had one for awhile now. Got everything I need, just need to learn it all now. Until then, I'll be having pcmforless do my tunes. I burned my first chip already, works good, but the tune must need some more work, because I picked up 36 spark knock counts in 5 minutes, just revving it occasionally in the garage. The old tune was way better than that, so back to the drawing board for them.

BTW if your getting KR when free reving it... that happends to about all of us. Its false KR. If you get knock when its under a load (moving) thats a different story.

Re: Ohio?

Re: Ohio?
Yeah, no wideband. I'm having problems all around with spark knock. With the last tune, it only had spark knock under pretty heavy load. But now with this tune, I am getting tons of spark knock counts from just revving it in the garage.

Re: Ohio?
I definitly would love to see a log and how much timing they have added. And see your narrowband mv. even though there not that reliable, they still sorta work.
Are you still getting KR when its under a load with the new tune?

Re: Ohio?
I haven't driven it. I didn't see a point, since it was making so much KR just revving up. I have a log file from my old tune made with datamaster, which was used to make this current tune. I'll email it to you right now.

It is what pcmforless insists on using. You get 20 free recordings, then you have to pay, but you should be able to watch my log on it.

I think it's the tranny. Something doesn't sound right with it, and that 2-3 shift was crap.

Re: Ohio?
Its is crap...lmao. Its called a shitty stall converter. But it surprisinly does still drop rpms like it should. In that log from 5875rpms at about 77mph to 4675rpms for the 2-3 shift. Believe me thats a good shift compared to how it didnt drop rpms at all in the past. Its just in auto as I usally shift it manually but have to stop doing that as I seem to always shift it at about 6300rpms. A tad to much abuse there.
Gotta keep in mind theres alot of TQ going through that trans. And its stock.

Re: Ohio?
Theres not much for options on the TC for a narrow 700r4. Ive got a 2800 stall converter now but its just a cheep on and basically the only one I can find. Im still thing the ideas of a TH350 trans but like I said thats still a idea, not a forsure thing.
BTW im going to check that datalogg of yours right now

Re: Ohio?
First let me say that datamaster is a cheep horrible program from what I see. You ever seen Tunerpro stuff?? Much much better.
You seem to have a EST monitor error
From what I see you may be stinking rich when you go burp the throttle. It looks like your MV from your o2 sensor goes to soggy rich and that calculated AFR they have drops to 10.xafr just before the knock initially happends. I can say from experience that if its so soggy rich it will act like knock. Or at least the Ecm thinks it is. Im not sure if its hydro hammering or what that causes it. But I would bet your AE is just too much. Definitly not the timing at least when your not under a load.

Re: Ohio?
This makes me think I do indeed have a leaky injector then. I ohmed them all and they checked good. But, my car does not hold fuel pressure at all really with the return clamped off, and it does seem to be rich.
I know, I have tunerpro RT 4.

also the new turbo is loving the rpm watch a video of the old turbo and watch how acceleration falls off in the upper rpms , with the new turbo it pulls damn hard in the upper rpms.
dont fear the high rpm use the motor will handle it no problems
i do suggest u get a transgo or b@m shiftkit in it for now and a megaboost valve. other then that dont spend anymore money on it
and btw besides the converter size and the 27 spline input shaft the v6 bellhousing 700r4 is internally identical to the v8 version

make some calls around and see if anyplace local can build u a driveshaft if u can get one built cheap dont do a th350 swap do a 2004r swap and get the manual transbrake
if all else fails i can build u the new driveshaft the only downside is i dont have a balancing machine, but i might know somone who can balance it for me

the 200r4 has got to be weaker then even the v6 700r4 theres alot of plastic holding some of it together

Re: Ohio?
every thing about screams weaker just look at the link comparing part to part
not one part is stronger stamped steel sunshell 2 peice input thats also thinner
output shaft lacks the extra bushings
both trans are weaksauce but the 200-4r is overall a much weaker unit
i have 200-4r sitting here from a gnx and id never put it behind my zz3 unless i want to play a game destroy a trans in 10 min or less

I may be biased but I think power-braking is plain silly
especially when people do it to smoke the tires.
I love manuals. more launch control

Thanks man, you did good lol.
I usually go to dragway 42 in west salem. There is also quaker city, in salem which is probably the closest to you and me. You should come by man, I'm only a half hour down the road.
