I new it would happen soon!

I blowed up the the tranny on my second run last friday. I missed second on the 1st run but this time it was because it was WAY hard to get it into 2nd.
So the second run I slammed it in and it worked till i tried for 3rd and there was nothing there. No gear at all. Just like neutral.

I had to fry some clutch to get it on the trailer in 4th gear.

I haven't pulled it yet but there is no 1,2,3 or reverse.

I have to sell my 86 IROC to get a new tranny. Anybody want my 86 for $2K?

Dwayne,

Was this the stock tranny or had you already done the G-force kit?

Don't feel too bad. I blew the third gear synchro in a Doug Nash 5 Speed in my last 69 Camaro. It kicked out of gear at 6000 rpm and the go-pedal still floored. Put a valve in a piston, broke the piston, bent the valve, yada, yada......

Only good thing was I had a relative sitting on the side of the road reloading his race car (circle track). I had just left and had to show him what a sissy car his race car was and then that happens. He took his race car home and came back and we loaded my car on his trailer........

Well, I guess if it were possible to have any good news from this, the fact that it wasn't the G-Force kit that gave out could be labeled as a good thing. One the other hand, if the kit was in, maybe it wouldn't have happened at all. Oh well, I'm rambling...

Yeah it was the stock WC T5 with 150K+ miles.

Oh well, I knew it was going to blow soon.

Blowin up a Doug nash is impressive. I thought those werer pretty strong trannies.

Hey Dwayne PM or call me about the 86 Iroc!!! I am guessing it is not the car you have brought to the meets!!!!!!!!

Is it in good shape, and most of all does it have the TPI setup? Either PM or call me. Tell me about it on the PM because I will be in school and at work most of today and tommarow.

The motor was pretty strong too. .540 lift I/E and 290* @.050 solid lifter roller cam, 11.00:1, fully ported heads, rev kit, roller rockers, 3/8" push rods with guide plates, stud girdle, polished rods, dual 660 Holleys, Steel crank, B&B, etc., etc...... Pulled hard to 7800 RPM. I was just getting ready to take it to the Drags for the first time.........

What condition is it in, the engine, interior, exterior? Any problems with it? Also what options does it have?
