Didnt know I was that fast

Ok I went racing on Saturday. My husband had just finished with my HSR system (yes there is some tinkling we have to do with it to get it tuned right) but I went racing & had fund doing it.

But I didnt know I could go as fast as my time slip says.

Heres what it reads
RT........ .114
60' .....2.147
330.... 6.244
1/8th.. 9.697
MPH ....71.03
1000..12.162
1/4....15.162
MPH...367.78

Then 2 runs later
RT........ .227
60' .....2.069
330.... 6.206
1/8th.. 9.655
MPH ....70.87
1000..12.643
1/4....15.134
MPH...18.78

The car is going in on Tuesday to get the headers & catback on so we are hoping this helps with the speed. lol

something doesnt add up you cant get better than a .5 reaction time. so it must be 1.1 and if your going over 360 mph at the top end youd be in teh deep 7s if those are your 60ft times looks like your good for your chasis setup

They changed to the LED lights which puts a perfect Reaction time at .000

But what happen was the Trap MPH was off big time.

Without the Headers & the tune up done I lost alittle of the top end right now because of the HSR. But once Thursday comes around then things should be better. I race again in June. (since my car most likely will not be ready for the May 21st race day.)When My car is running right & I normally run 14s with 90-93MPH in the traps. Saturday I was running 90-91 ( I ran 5 runs & only two were messed up). But of course I was dropping off the top.

the photocells at the finish line were having troubles. usually moisture, a bad connection, insects, or paper/trash blowing around will cross the lenses and mess up the trap speed. there is a set of cells before the finish, and the mph is determined by the time taken between the two. I worked at a track for many years and had to deal with this stuff.

still looks cool on the timeslip, 300+

Yea its was foggy & Nasy the day before. so it was moisture, I just posted that on their forum & one guy was laughing at it lol. They are working on dealing with that problem.

Yea tell me about it. It was also fun because I was the only one in the club that made it past the 1st round. So I am also the clubs point leader with 2 points ( 1 point for each round you win (but it was double points day since it was opening day))

They guys in the car club said at the next meeting I have to brag about it & give the club $1 for each mph. lol I said Nope a $.01 for each MPH. lol
