Recently I took my car to Blackstone to see what's new ( I used to 'cruise' a lot in high school but haven't really been out there for a couple years).

I must say I have noticed ALOT more 3rd gen's out there. Before I'd maybe see one or two per night but now I see at least 10. And I see about 50 4th gen cars too..

Anyone go out there at all?

 

haven't been out there in a while, always working nights. but i am due to head out real soon, since weather is getting nicer.

 

Do you know of any tracks (not drag strips, but tracks) around here? My car isn't fast but I've really upgraded the suspension and I want to test it out

 

Cruising has gotten ridiculous in Fresno, Too many idiots on the road..... I called it quits when a run down 4 door saturn w/ a wing that weighed more than the car tryed to race me. The last time I have been out was when we had a fresno gathering but we did not even touch blackstone for the most part.

What all did you do to your suspension chomp?

 

I've just started modding my car so I haven't done a whole lot (started in Aug. when I registered here).

-Eibach Lowering/Performance springs (sportline)

-Suspension techniques front and rear sway bars

-Tokico illumina front struts and rear shocks

-BMR adjustable panhard rod

-LCA relocation brackets / Anti-squat brackets

-Jamax strut tower brace

-17" wheels/ 255/40 tires



Each item wasn't a really big change, but everything thus far has added up to make a huge, huge difference. I drove my friends Iroc/Z28 and it felt so loose and sloppy compared to mine.

Although my car still doesn't have that much power, it's a blast in the corners.

 

i love 168 to sierra summit! i had been planning it for a month, fam always goes to the cabin in Shaver for thanksgiving. i finished the c5 brake upgrade just before. lots of fun.

 

really? i just upgraded to disc rears w/ a prop valve ... i'm ready for some curves now!


what's on 168 on the way up there? Is it dangerous at all (as far as traffic, blind turns) ?

 

When you first start going up the mountain its really open but once you get to shaver you have to slow it down because it only has one lane.............. I would not recommend driving a camaro up there until summer comes around though....... Do you have any pics of the C5 brake upgrade?

Like I said I've been going out to blackstone a little bit more often on weekends. I've noticed alotttttt of 4th gen camaros and firebirds and a few 3rd gens. I'd like to see some of the guys from this board go out there and have a meet or something.

you can go out there just to hang out or to set up a race, doesnt matter we meet at the jack in the box.. the firebird wont be out there anymore.. its shot

On ebay it's anywhere from 1000-1800
